You're insane. The Jays would contend in any division other than the AL Central, and the Orioles are not that bad at all.

So I love the Sox and all that...watch every night...but PLEASE for the love of God can Curt Schilling shut the fuck up for 2 fucking seconds.

Everyone on Earth knows it was blood on his sock. Gary Thorne misinterpreted what he heard someone else say...but deal. But Schilling is now part of the very media that he chooses to blast in every other entry into his blog. This whole story was set to disappear probably by the time I get out of work today, but he needed to add something cause he neeeeds to get the last word out there. Its not just this incident- he talks about how the media this and the media that. JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP CURT.
Anyway, Josh Beckett is nasty and I hope the games this weekend dont get rained out. Better to get the Yanks when theyre down and injured.

Dice-K pitches tonight against the NY Skanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know it is early, but how awful can the skankee pitching get??? Lets get these games while we can take advantage of it.

Hopefully the Sox take sweep or take 2 of 3 against the NY Skankees. Talvarez (he is a better set-up bullpen pitcher than starter) pitches Sunday, so the Skanks might get that game, but they still pitch against Papelbon & Okajima at the end of the game. Once the sox get Jon Lester (7-2 as a rookie last year) back our rotation will rule, he is now with the Paw Sox and should be in Boston by mid May if stuff goes to plan. Schilling, Beckett, Matsuzaka, Wakefield, and Lester will be nasty. Hideki Okajima as set-up/secondary closer and Papelbon(fire) closing most games out, I'm starting to like this season for the Sox.

Schilling is being an idiot with this thing, but hey- this is his legacy, he's the bloody sock guy. He wants to get into the HOF, but he's not going to win a Cy and he's never been the best pitcher in his league- both times when he won the Series, he wasn't even the best pitcher on his own team! So this is a big deal to him, much bigger than to anyone else.

Wow here is something suprising the Sox are up 5-4 in the 5th and OMG the yankees had to pull thier starter Andy Petite, who would have thought of that????? So far I like how this year is going, if Gay-Rod had not been on HR tear this month, the NY Skanks would only have 4 or 5 wins so far. Keep up the good work Steinbrenner.

Dice-K, another 4 ER's and a 4.36 ERA so far. Not bad so far, but he better get better if he's going to justify $103 mil.

Not tonight... The last four nights have ended at 12, 12, 2, and 4 a.m. respectively, so sitting on my ass and watching the Sox dismantle the increasingly hapless Yankees is exactly where I want to be right now.

I am an incredibly dynamic individual.

edit: 4 walks in an inning for Pettitte... A horrendous outing for Rivera... John Wetteland and David Cone aren't walking through that door, people. Charlie Hayes and Paul O'Neill aren't walking through that door!

Solid. I fought the law, but SSD still went to law school and became a lawyer. Yankees suck.

The Tigers are slipping. It's a tough division, so they need to win these kind of games.

They will be there at the end.

At this point, I think the Yankees would settle for Aaaron Small. Circa '05, of course.

Annnnnnd that's your ball game. Lugo tears it up (although with a terrible error), Diasuke gets the W, and the Yankee bullpen is in tatters while Papelbon gets another day of rest. The only thing that sucked about this game was having to listen to John Flaherty, Al Leiter, and Michael Kay announce it. God, those guys fucking blow.

On pace for 18 wins, 223 IP, 203 H, and 257 K. And he's the Sox 4th best starter right now. Another fine point; Red Sox nation is certainly in panic over this.

Hey, just remember, if the Yankees had any kind of pitching, they'd be 2-0 against the 100 million dollar Jap dude. He had a nice opening day, but, after that, I'm not impressed.

And if a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his ass hopping.

I wish Mariano could pitch nine innings every time they play the Sox. We'd score 50 runs every game.

Be careful what you hope for (whatever that means)

I'm off to the Bronx to witness more pathetic baseball. At least the ticket is free.

So what's YOUR point? Is that supposed to impress someone? Because he's not impressing many people so far. Good stuff, yes, but not great by any means. Take away that performance against the AAA Royals and he's very below average.

You think he's below average????? Are smoking fucking crack??? Yes, He's gotten into trouble a number of times, but every time it was because of control issues in a single inning. And he always manages to bounce back after faltering, which is impressive. I expect him to take some time to adjust to new league and a completely new style of playing. Everything else has been fantastic with him.

You obviously haven't watched him pitch- he's had three or four bad innings out of all those starts, and his stuff has been awesome at times. He's good and he's going to get better as he settles in. That statement reflects the kind of reasoning that leads people who aren't from New York to become Yankee fans- it's easier than actually thinking.

Torre is one of the best managers in baseball.
