I'm a bust on Knee highs, but might be able to get shin high. As for the lederhosen... Wrong nationality for me, but I could convert if "Heidi, the Ricola Girl" is gonna be there

cuz, everybody knows, Hiedi digs der lederhosen + Longboard combo.

So many Longboards... so few takers. - It seems.

There's a pair of Lady's pink VR-17's in a 195 hiding way over on the right (can see part of tip) that MBSC could borrow to match her pants

Berko- irredubitibly they'll be coming up with me. Will throw on some wax too (more wax, they're already okay but more can't hurt).

I think that since this is not only LBD but a fund raiser for CAIC all maggots should wear the ever high-tech official studfinder... You know, just to help make it easier to spot them in case they lack the longboards.

Though, just as many points could be awarded for old frequency units like my Ramer beacon.

...and we couldn't leave out chopped shovels from the hardware store and/or grain scoops?

I am now thinking I'll bring two different outfits - might be the perfect time to rock my wool knickers and knee socks along with the leather boots and old school tele boards. Not like I have had an opportunity to wear those in the last twenty years.

but there will be no Kookweed-style antics on THAT gear... I'll be happy to take a run without getting hurt! I'll have to go with the alpine gear for actual skiing fun, in which case the 80s neon may have to make an appearance.

all assuming I can actually make it for this shindig.

My RDs are 207s. They would be pissed if I trumped them with another one day/year ski. If I track down a cheap ticket, I may be in. It really depends on if the trails are dry or not. [/sally]

jibco, fuck that arbitrary 210 rule. I'm with you; my 'long boards' are 205 (K2s so prolly about as long as some 210s) and they're not just some shite I picked up at a garage sale, they're the skis I actually skied on for quite a while and they're a great pair of skis.

Just show up and deal with the heckling, if anyone can even tell you're under the limit.

honestly, either. however, given the binding inventory I'm currently building probably the unmounted. Those are literally and figuratively solid gold.

This will be the first weekend at LLand I've missed in a few months. Family duties have consumed this weekend. I was honestly looking forward to tumbling down avalanche bowl while getting beat up by long skinny skis. Do us proud LB!

It seems a re-clarification is in order:

This is Long Board Day. Not old school day, not straight ski day but long board day. Sure, there is a little flexibility but come on…205s? Those are women's skis.

Did some scrounging last night and provided the weather is as forecast (basically), I should be stepping straight out of a scene from Downhill Racer, although I do look so much hotter than Redford. And after some careful measurements and then just reading the number on the side my really long skis that I thought were 217 have been severely demoted, they're only 214s. Lame. But they will be available for borrow (+linkens so easy to resize) b/c I stripped the 727s off the Strato 102s last night.

If one of the alpiners wants to really man up they can use my old T-races (27.0) but you'll need insoles.
