Greener recounts his crash at Snowbird

With all the talk of risk taking in ski contests, this is somewhat appropriate. Thankfully Nicky dodged the bullet on this one:

If you've never fallen like this, you have now idea how scary it really is. I took a spill like this in January. You get to the bottom and you don't want to check if anything is broken because your afraid of what you might find out. Scary shit man. I'm glad he's ok.

That was probably the worst fall I've ever seen in person. When his body impacted that rock band at the bottom I thought that was the end of him. Can't describe the collective relief in the crowd when he waved his arms. One of the most intense things I've ever seen.

Edit: you really need to watch the video above to understand the magnitude of the fall.

How he walked away from that is beyond comprehension. That video is one of the nastiest ski clips I have seen. Sort of puts things in perspective for all of us that think we could handle those descents.

thank God he is OK after that. Man I gasp'd bigtime when he hit that rock band. How he walked away from that one he certainly had a helping hand in. I thought he would be dead from that one impact alone. Glad he is OK

Lil' Buddy took a nasty fall, I ski with him from time to time at the 'bird, all the greeners (rob, rick & nick) have nerves of steel. Glad to see Rob is healed from 04-05 when he broken femur. Rob is one of the nicest & coolest guys you'll meet on the hill, Rob, Cliff Bennett and Ben Wheeler are my favorite guys to ride with at the 'bird.

i was certain that nick would have some sort of spinal injury after watching him hit the last cliff. scary shit.

my neighbor johnn has been first responder on two greeners now. thankfully they've both been alright, though one was impaled at the time.
