TR: April Blower at Berthoud Pass

    Date: April 8, 2007

    Maggots: Lurch, Below Zero

Words associated with this TR: Sickter, Titty Balls, Facials, Boner City, etc.

We got to Berthoud Pass around 9:00 AM. There was already about 8" on the ground. Well forget the big lines, we are milking the fuck out of this shit........

    Lurch on the way up

    Well, this doesn't suck

    Hanging Meadow

Holy fucking deep. The Easter Bunny served up the goods

    Face shots were a plenty

Lurch kicks off a small slide on Hanging Meadow. About a foot to a foot and a half crown

    Reflection

    Again, not sucking

    Oh yeah

Did I mention it was deep?

    I'm gonna slay this....

    And this....

Let's get in on! Below Zero

    Fresh lines everywhere

    That's right bitch!

Nice work, just got back from a-basin. Both ways over the pass, i was thinking those trees would be good. Might go give them a shot in the am tomorrow.

Powder snow skiing is not fun. It’s life, fully lived, life lived in a blaze of reality. What we experience in powder is the original human self, which lies deeply inside each of us, still undamaged in spite of what our present culture tries to do to us. Once experienced, this kind of living is recognized as the only way to live–fully aware of the earth and the sky and the gods and you, the mortal, playing among them. Dolores LaChapelle

    Me too.

It has covered up all the crust. It was truly about, I don't know, let's say about 12" to 15" of blower in the morning and early afternoon. It snowed almost all day - nuking at times. Stopped around 2:30. It turned much heavier around 3:00 pm. Hucking should be good tomorrow.

At this time of year you gotta treat every pow day like it's the last one. Looks like you guys took advantage.

Soo true. CO definitely went off today. The Basin was incredible in the morning, and some great BC turns were had in the afternoon.

    Happy Easter!

Nice. Wondering if that was you guys hanging out in the car next to me when I pulled up around 1:45, and then just behind me on the skin toward Hell's? (I was on bros/obnoxious red pants) I spotted Gots/Naxos, and some other ski/FR against the car IIRC. I figured if you were maggs you would have said something when you saw the bros come out of the car...maybe you didn't see them....or maybe that wasn't you guys. Anyway, nice shots...it was indeed that good. Best BC day of the year though...not sure about that? I guess I've had some really good ones...
