Doug, I don't know you, but I'm glad you're hangin in there, sort of. I can't begin to grasp what you must be going through but I just want to add that if you need any more support in SLC, don't hesitate to ask for it. I and many others are here.

    Doug,
I just lost my grandfather last week (age 92). Something my grandma said stuck with me. She was married to him for 66 years, and is sleeping alone for the first time in that period. She said "It's very hard right now, but it can only get better, because it has to."

    Thoughts and prayers for you.

    Doug,
My sympathies to you, family, and friends about your loss. I remember Britney's cool avatar and will repost it to jog the memories of others here. Her posts were full of "!", you could feel her energy in them. It was educational for me to hear about other Maggs here who have suffered very similar losses and issues(I guess I'm a little ignorant about this). Thanks to those who have shared those stories of struggle and the photos of Britney. Take care and please post when you can. We'll be here to read them.

I only know you through this board, but would happily offer my left arm to turn back the clock.

Be assured that her spirit will live on; both in your heart and ours. Surround yourself with those you love, and share the joy of her life.

    Peace.

My father killed himself 20 years ago when I was 18, I sucks, it is hard, but as others have said it will get better. Hang in, You deal with your battles, let others (the mother and lawyers) deal with theirs.

As soo many others have said if you find you need to talk to someone random, please write, call or PM me or anyone else.

I've been watching this thread while I was traveling, but not really sure what to say.

I met Britney and Doug for the first time when they came up to Logan and stayed at my house earlier this year. We went on a little tour and had a great day. Britney had a great attitude, a bright personality, and I was glad to have spent the day in her company.

    Hang in there Doug.

This is the saddest news that I can recall from this board. I'm very sorry for your loss. Hang in there, 'cause things can only get better.

I've read this thread many times in the past day. Each time I want to write something but I can never find the words to express my sadness. This time is no exception, but I just wanted to say I'm so sorry for your loss. Hang in there, you'll get through this.
