i should be getting them tonight. stephen says less than 20% stiffer in the shovel, and about the same in the tail. really a more round flex, but still a medium-ish shovel and stiffer tail.

    i'll report back tonight.

Re-reading your review, schral, makes me want to up and sell my deep powders right now. What I love about them is how little they're deflected in crud because of how fat, straight, and especially heavy they are. Sounds like I should be covered on that front.

Cheers to DP for keeping everyone up to date on shipment information. Even if it's not what I like to hear, they're not afraid to tell it. Wonder if I'll be able to weasel my way onto the first-shipment batch. If not, mid-Feb could be a joyous time of the year.

i havent heard that he's even gotten them yet and we shoot a lot of email back and forth. I know he's not in Jackson ATM, so maybe they're on his doorstep waiting for him or something....at least I hope they are.

    06/07 action

so.. mine arrived today and FKNA.. they are SWEEEEEEEEETTT.. so effin light its unbelievable.. feel like 1/2 the weight of my ANT's, which I would have to gander will make them much much easier to ski.

I am mega-stoked to ski these but sadly they will be latent for a month while my injury heals up..

nice wooden sidewalls, construction feels really bomber and the bases are very niiiiiiccceee..... the topsheets look great and feel strong as well.. overall this ski looks VERY high quality and worth every cent I paid for them. I would say easily 1.5-2x stronger construction than my ANT's. and again, very very very light.. CANNOT WAIT TO SHRED WITH THEM!

Marshall, since you are "marshalling" my 120s, why don't you take a photo of them and post them on this thread so I can droll from 1000 miles away.

    YESSSSSS!

stiffer but a shade in the shovel, nice round flex. a bit better in the flex 2 straighlining, but still super lively and smearable.

the new topsheet is $ too. much stronger bond to the carbon. stoked!

oh, and the bamboo sidewalls are pretty, and alot stronger.

rontel - no bindings thus far mate... hit me whenever...

it's easy to miss, as I am not aware of any other skis that come in them, and they are small and hidden on one end, but those are zipper bags, so you can pull them in and out and reseal at will....

you may have caught that already though and have alternate reasons for keeping them caged, if so....apologies

confirmed, provided people actually sack up and order them. at least 10 pair need to be ordered to make it worthwhile to dp to engineer and press them.

I am trying my hardest to get a pair of O1s to you. It may just have to wait until next week when I come to town.

Rontele, are you still CHI part time?

gf and I are in Chi-town for her sisters wedding next weekend.
You'd have to come to me - I am 100% booked/committed/not in control of the schedule - but if you can get out to Oak Park (green line stop is close), I can bring them back to Marshal for you.

Check my latest post in the quiver thread for motivation.

Heh. I am actually going to Colorado next week. I just need to swing by Bent Gate and pick some O1s up then get to Marsha up Boulder. But thanks for the offer.

Yes, I am in Chicago until mid-May.

    New review 06-07 lotus 120

First off me; 5'11' 155lbs pretty small dude. fischer atua everday ski. Have lotus 120 flex 2 190 with scratch 14 bindings mounted +.75

Conditions: 8-16" blower pow on vail frontside. 5-10 backside with concrete underneath. for the day skied about 31000 vert.

First off holy shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We headed out back and you needed to make soft turns to stay off the concrete below. What do ya know the 120 did this with ease just let it get up to speed and roll'em over and well you were rippin. If you'd catch a hard windblown icy spot they would take the edge and hold it. Unreal pow to ice performance. Just keep'em on edge and stay into them and you were money. Dont want to sound ridiculous here but my buddy had some 195 bandit b'3 with the metal in and he had a terrible time out back because he was deeper in the snow and traveling slower which meant more time spent on the concret which made your bones shake.oUch!

Frontside; We spent most of the day on the frontside hitting deep stashes and droppin modest airs 15-20 feet. I personally hit about 10 decent drops and stomped everyone one of them. The skis give such a big large stable, platform to drop on it makes it tough not to stick it. F-n killer. At first I was leary of some tight trees but I realized i just had to ski them like I was skiing my other skis and the lotus's would do whatever I would ask of them quickly and effortlessly. THey are so light and stable you need to ski them to believe them. Making turns of any shape or size didn't matter it seemed like they were specifically built for every single turn you could make flippin unreal. Big carves short quick ones or smears it was all money.

As things started to track up I just kept it pinned. Stayed strong and blasted through everything. As things started to scrape off and expose the hardpan you could still make any kind of turn you wanted to whether it was icy or soft the ski would stay one edge hold up and power out of the turn.

In the end I am so impressed my buddies are going to shoot me if i dont stop talking about them. They ski so easy but have the power and float to make everything effortless. Great for stomping landings, great for crud, great for quick turns or huge 46 meter radius turns, smears it doesn't matter. No problems skating, no fatigue from being heavy(light as hell) and IMHO much more versatile than they are given credit for.

In the end you gotta ride'm to really believe them. The more the day progressed the bigger my smile was. Absolutely the funnest ski I have been on and the boys at dps deserve a huge standing ovation becuase the wait was every single bit worth it.

    One more happy customer

I am eagerly awaiting my replacement pair. Last years is still a great ski, but the slightly stiffer tip and the durable topsheet is gonna make it just perfect. The old ski will do the work the next couple of weeks, and it is still a really fun ski...
All work and no play, ... you know...
