i was at verbier today. just got back. awesomeness...knee+ deep. there is only one run open officially (lac des vaux) , but you can ski down to midstation or the village no problem. it's all a bit cut up now but tomorrow should clear and reveal plenty o' stashes. i even heard talk that mont fort might be open...

i took a bunch of crap pics but here's confirmation on that knee deep...

bummer, sorry to hear. everything can change in just a few days. last weekend we were feeling pretty desperate. now we're powder pigs. sadly, looks like it may be quite a while before we're piggin again. (just checked forecast) ah well, piste runners next weekend.

euros - get on this if you can!

just back from verb... deep but baseless. Some awesome knee to even thigh deep cold powder. I just suck at skiing

Hit a fair few rocks, but we found a sweet stash that was deep, unskied, and bottomless.

    Time for bee, later

good day at G3000 yesterday - bluebird with plenty of faceshots. i reckon it was knee to thigh deep, never hit a rock. a tad crowded but really never was a problem. again, no decent ski shots due to pow feasting.

more pics at my blog below...

funny shit. looks like you went thru just minutes later.

we spent most of the time at the Quille lift/piste (lookers left of your pic), tracking it out under the Quille. i kept my eyes peeled for a black giro full face but never saw one. we were pretty much in motion offpiste the whole time, so hard to spot you unless we happened by each other. next time...

some rocks, some ice, who cares.
picture of snowboarder friend in stubai yesterday. you know it was a good day when you can't tell who the person in the picture is and you know it was a really good day when you can't tell what they are riding.

    Verbier Yesterday.
4 of us from lausanne met up with 2 more form Montana.

The day was pretty epic for a first day ski of the season. Thigh deep snow, more like waist deep if you stepped out of skis.

Pardon my absence. Computer broke, and kept me offline.

Snowline is 900m, coming up to Leysin.
Rumor has it, homecourt opens tomorrow.

And, in case I haven't mentioned it a few times already, this site is excellent.

Load the dates and times in the radar image area and see where it all fell.
    Fantastic! Brilliant in fact.
