I think a maggot golf outing in Vegas would be sick over the summer. How many would be into this?
Vote in the poll sucka!

Not if you play full contact golf...

"Hello?!!!....Strippers?!?"
It gets kind of warm in Vegas in the summer.
Golf is fun, but, melting while you golf, is not.
yeah, golf might be worth the tedium if the ball washers are cute, eh?Quote:

you said, 'Ball-Washers'.....
Great idea, and I know there are some killer courses in Vegas...
But that's a loooong way to fly for a golf tourney.
How 'bout something in the Mid-Atlantic?
:D
The reasoning for Vegas is this:
5 hours from So Cal
5.5 Hours from ewtah
5-7 Hrs from Coloraddy
Oh yeah did i forget to mention there is legal gambling in nevada, And other legal "activities"?
Oh yeah and strip clubs?
And the reason for golf is the fact that you can get drunk and compete. It's pretty hard to do that while biking single track, Unless you have "special" ability.
lets rent a demolition derby track for a weekend, bring our beaters, get blasted, and see who the best/worst drivers are in this collective;)Quote:

And cheap, usually direct, flights from just about anywhere.Quote:

Problem is, for a lot of us those "beaters" are our primary vehicles.Quote:

And golf if only cool if you are Bill Murray.
Only if we play Xtreme Mountain golf.

too hot. why not just a maggot golf day in LA? there's enough of us.
How about an EC maggot golf day somewhere? I'd totally be down for that. Tons of courses that are relatively inexpensive, a fair number of maggots, and reasonable weather for playing most days. I don't know what location would work best for you guys, but if it was just a day somewhere in the mid-Atlantic or northeast would make the most sense. However, if it was a multi day deal, Myrtle Beach would be good, tons of courses, lots of reasonable lodging, fairly nice beach.

We taking odds on the whole lot getting tossed off the course? Cause I'd say it's about 1:1
I'd be all over a Mid-Atlantic maggot golf day. I suck at golf, but it's still fun. The ever present bottle of scotch doesn't make me play any better, but I don't mind playing badly as much.
According to golfcourse.com , there are 192 courses within 50 miles of me. We do have some sweet, sweet courses in the Mid Atlantic region. And very few of them are more than $75.
Good idea. Any hackers out there? We could hold a simultaneous 3 par tourny event.Quote:

$75?? Shit dude... maggot golf is more like $25.
pinner, let's play sometime.
There are a bunch of $35 or so courses in the Mid-Atlantic. Some of which even sell beer by the 6-pack (and supply soft sided coolers for said beer).
Not that golf is all about the drinking or anything...
Anytime! I've been playing about 3 or 4 times a week.Quote:

...and I still suck
Mid atlantic maggots, I'd definitely be up for some golf around here.
Lets play in UT, any one???
Hehe - that's the upper end of the scale.Quote:

Most are in the $30-$50 range, but here, there's a difference: It's usually either "All u can play" OR they offer "cart fees only" for a replay. Can't beat playing 45 holes of golf for $30. Anywhere.
Some of the courses I play at regularly:
Pricey but worth it:
Worthington Manor - long,long,long.
PB Dye Club - had a membership here 2 years ago...this one'll kill you.
Whiskey Creek - Els course. Gorgeous, but kinda "tricky".
Cheap, but nice:
Glade Valley
Black Rock
Links @ Challedon
Little Bennett
These are just a few of my regular courses...There are so many, so close. Not redemption for a complete lack of mountains here, but we do have outstanding golf. My Boston buddies come down & can't believe the conditions, prices and sheer numbers of courses here.

This crowd has gone deadly silent, a Cinderella story outta nowhere. Former greenskeeper and now about to become the masters champion."
bump, what about a simultanious tourney occuring at multiple venues?
I'll kill you all. There's nothing better than being outdriven by a midget.:D
That could be a good idea, a nationwide maggot golf day/weekend. Speaking of which, we should try to get together for a round sometime this summer Laser, if I'm ever up in your neck of the woods, I'll drop ya a PM.Quote:

I like it! I've got two courses less than 3 miles from my house. The kingdom of BABAR is open to all (if you don't mind elephants). Anyone ever golf with a torn acl? Some people drink a little while they golf. I golf a little while I drink. ;)Quote:

anyone got any left handed clubs i can borrow?
This would be fun to try a nationwide golf day, then figure out the lowest handicap, highest, the highest, most likely to never be allowed back on the golf course, should have sticked to drinking without picking up sticks etc.
Lots of places down here, and in July or August it's cheeeep.
Oh, and BTW it's also 115 degrees or so, bring sunscreen.

No point, just some golf course porn.
damn, sweet looking course. Looks like a course you could lose lots of golf balls at!!
Isn't golf porn an oxymoron?Quote:
