you get a call?
Pictures? Impressions? Assorted unfounded opinions?
...Yeah, I want some too.
YUP, that is what I want.
so....193 or 190?
Both intrigue me as well. Along with Squads.
190 is just a 190VCT. My guess is the 193
I got my 193's. Pics will come soon.
Oh the places we will go.
Fondled some 193's the other day, very nice flex, stiff underfoot, and stiff in the tail until it starts to turn up, when it gradually gets softer, same in the tip. Actually had a tiny bit of camber, not too much, but noticeable when laid flat. Looks like a sweet stick.
Yeah, I was actually surprised to see how much camber they had. Very little, but it is there. I was expecting them to be completely flat. Props to Dennis and everyone at Sierra Ski/Snowboard for hooking it up. :fm:
Also, PM me if youre looking to get a pair of these for a deal, I might be able to help you out...
where do i can i get some?
I just got word from my sales guy, the 1st shipment of EHP's is being recalled because of an issue regarding the camber. I guess they should be flat but many made it out of the factory with some camber. Stay tuned, I'll post more info as I get it.
mountain magic, banff, alberta has some in stock
same thing, more camber then I had thought they would
xtra, at chalet they have 190's and 193's. i checked these out for myself and did not get the "reverse camber" even if it is small. it seems to me like this camber on the 193's is not reverse but like a worn in ski that has lost its pop, but what do i know.
Sounds good, for some reason my sales guy said they were being recalled. I hope not because the pair he sent me is on the way. I'll keep you notified and I'm hoping there isn't an issue with them. sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
z is a bad bad man
It's so on when I get these fucking things. Im just going to randomly crush people with my bare hands. fuck the police.
They do look pretty sweet.
I can't believe I didn't see the 193s the first time
More camber then I thought, maybe 1.5cm when base to base, that could flatten out with time.
Looks like a sick ski if I were at a bigger mountain, but probably too much for the tighter lines of Bridger.
Fairly Soft on the very tips but stiffens substantially . Shouldn't have any stability problems.
Have fun with 'em boys
Z is coming straight from the underground
Fuck that shit, cuz I ain't tha one
For a punk muthafucka with a badge and a gun
To be beatin on, and throwin in jail
We could go toe to toe in the middle of a cell
Fuckin with me cuz I'm a teenager
With a little bit of gold and a pager
Searchin my car, lookin for the product
Thinkin every nigga is sellin narcotics
You'd rather see me in the pen
Then me and Lorenzo rollin in the Benzo
Beat tha police outta shape
And when I'm finished, bring the yellow tape
To tape off the scene of the slaughter
Damn nigga skilz dat pay da $ billz, werd holms.
PICS? drool...
Soooo tempted to buy a pair of these. Just got my yearly bonus at work, and I have a 15% off tramdock coupon....
How much ski is this compared to the Ant or the BD?
Talked on the phone w/ someone at 4frnt. The skis that have any camber whatsoever are being recalled back to be fixed. They should be TOTALLY flat.
My skis should be here in 2 weeks.:yourock:
Who did you talk to on the phone? I'll talk to my rep again tonight and try to get the straight scoop.
They were made by Elan so it isn't like they are going to mail them back to Slovenia. WTF Fixed? Give them to me for a couple days and I'll flatten them out for ya. The pair I sold to Freeskisquaw were very close to flat. We are getting 2 more pair in at Sierra if you guys are interested.
The 4frnts in general all look way better and are made better now that they are built by Elan. Option effed them over last year so now they are moving on up to the EU like everyone else.
My pair is coming in from Salt Lake this week, we'll see how flat they are.
The ehp 193's at Porters in truckee, Ca have quite a bit of camber. Pretty weird for a ski that's supposed to be zero camber under foot.
I just got a call saying that they are being recalled and that I have to send them out somewhere to get "fixed". WTF?
So how much more ski are the 193 EHP's over the Ant or the Big Daddy? I know they're quite a bit wider, but how do they compare in gnar-gnarness?
I've read the review Professor did last Cinco de Mayo, but he warmed up on 193 103's, so I anyhting will pretty much seem tame after that.
They're a big gun and stiff but the flat camber/reverse aspect makes them surprisingly maneuverable. Compared to my 189 Squads they are just as stable at speed but far easier to initiate or end a turn - much quicker when you need that.
Sounds tasty. So if I can handle orginal BD's or Ants I'm probably ok? Just trying to figure out if they're like explosiv/stiff bro stiff or STIFF!!!
(Sorry to bug everyone, I'd go find 'em and flex them but there aren't any within a few hours of me, and I usually end up having to buy stuff sight unseen...)
