I'd recommend putting a seat on it first. Unless you like it like that.Quote:

Nice Z.
I'm actually in the market for a hardtail too...my V10 just doesn't cut it for CC rides...
Hardtails! Yuk! What crazy riders want that!!!!! :)
I'll be stoked when my Gary Fischer Cake arrives. Hmmmm nice plush 4 inches of travel, baby!!!! :)
(PS. Nice bike. I'm not talented enough to ride a hardtail anymore:))
Me!?!? Talented!?!? On a bike!?!? hahahahah!?!?!Quote:

Truthfully, I don't have enough money to get a 6 in travel bike. (575 or something like that). So instead im gonna build up a burly hardtail....
My 3 inch crappy trailbike just doesn't seem worth it....
Im almost tempted to offer you my Tass, Vicious, but I think there's a possibility I might need a bike for college purposes (or if I ever have enough luck for it not to break on my semi-core downhill-esque rides for which I lack talent...:nonono2: )
Haven't used the damn thing since before I went home for Christmas. If that's still the case after I get healthy, we'll talk. ;)
P.S. Nice, Z.
I admire folks who can ride over techy things on hardtails while I am about to die on my squishy-cushy 4 inches of travel:) Well, we'll have to go for a ride when you get that thing built and see who has more talent :)Quote:

edit: just realized what a dickhead I am. Z, that is a nice looking rig. I'd like to build up a single sort of like that.
No.Quote:

Thanks fondig! I'll keep that in mind. Pretty have the main stuff all ready, but I won't know exactly whats up till I start transferring parts. I'll keep that in mind man....
I have some brake levers, avid mech. discs, and some other misc. parts I'd like to unload.
cool frame!
It depends which Cake you get. I'm getting the Cake 1. The DLX has 5 inches, the Cake 1 has 4 inches. I'm getting a deal where I'm getting pretty much all of the components of the DLX on my Cake 1.Quote:

VIVA LA HARDTAIL
Now that's what I'm talking about.Quote:

Go with the Evil DOC. More of an all-arounder than the Imperial.Quote:

nice z. I guess it's time to start thinking about riding some dirt again soon.
Pimp ride, Z. I used to lust for that exact frame...that is, until I laid my eyes one of these:

Oh yeah bag. That frame was pretty friggin high on the list. However the price, and my freakin height made my decision for the surly....
Let me know if you want to go to djs some weekend. I can't ride yet, but my roomates all head out alot and I'll do some photos/filming.Quote:

Okay, so with this latest upgrade my bike is almost fully pimped. And it's gotten me so stoked on biking again, amazing what a change of scenery can do for you. I hope to post up a pic soon....
Yeah, get a pic up! What components did you end up putting on your bike?Quote:
