I'd recommend putting a seat on it first. Unless you like it like that.

Nah. Im too tall. This way it helps me get closer to the bike and lower my center of gravity.

Oh my god it hurts to read that.

    Nice Z.

I'm actually in the market for a hardtail too...my V10 just doesn't cut it for CC rides...

I'll be stoked when my Gary Fischer Cake arrives. Hmmmm nice plush 4 inches of travel, baby!!!!

(PS. Nice bike. I'm not talented enough to ride a hardtail anymore)

Me!?!? Talented!?!? On a bike!?!? hahahahah!?!?!

Im getting better, but I really have very little skill compared to many.

Truthfully, I don't have enough money to get a 6 in travel bike. (575 or something like that). So instead im gonna build up a burly hardtail....

My 3 inch crappy trailbike just doesn't seem worth it....

Im almost tempted to offer you my Tass, Vicious, but I think there's a possibility I might need a bike for college purposes (or if I ever have enough luck for it not to break on my semi-core downhill-esque rides for which I lack talent... )

Haven't used the damn thing since before I went home for Christmas. If that's still the case after I get healthy, we'll talk.

    P.S. Nice, Z.

I admire folks who can ride over techy things on hardtails while I am about to die on my squishy-cushy 4 inches of travel Well, we'll have to go for a ride when you get that thing built and see who has more talent

    Parts

Might have some parts laying around I could hook you up with for cheap to get that thing going, especially for these nice 70 degree days in February. Let me know what you need, I got a garage full of spare parts. Possibly even let you borrow some parts for now, til you get dat cash to pay for the ones you really want.

edit: just realized what a dickhead I am. Z, that is a nice looking rig. I'd like to build up a single sort of like that.

It depends which Cake you get. I'm getting the Cake 1. The DLX has 5 inches, the Cake 1 has 4 inches. I'm getting a deal where I'm getting pretty much all of the components of the DLX on my Cake 1.

then again, i might go for the little red wagon

Are the Imperials built mainly for urban/dj or would that be a good freeride/trail bike too?? (My knowledge only extends as far as dh/squishy bikes, but I'm in need of something I can use for trail riding)

Go with the Evil DOC. More of an all-arounder than the Imperial.

Oh yeah bag. That frame was pretty friggin high on the list. However the price, and my freakin height made my decision for the surly....
