$2300 for a full XTR LT? Even if that is w/out a fork, it's still an outrageous deal.
As far as I know, this company has been putting up auctions on EBay for the last month or so. Every single listing has been shut down by EBay in short order, only to other listings pop up soon after. I would stick by the old adage...
if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Given Stump's assertion that they're less than solid, I'd recommend using an escrow service. Just to be on the safe side.
Unless you can give a buddy the money and have him go to the shop and physically pick up the bike, you are begging to become Ebay Scam Victim #592751.

Multiple alarms here - private auction, very few feedbacks relative to the volume of listings they have (member since 2001, 64 feedbacks, yet they have 400 items listed right now), and the best one:
"Please do not bid on the auction!!! Contact us via email for an order (with your size and colour to check availability). This is a fixed price sale at the buy it now price."

its weird that they have one bike seat for sale as well. But if this was a scam, why would they advocate escrow?

Big Sky Cyclery and Great Divide - but no contbicycle....
It's obvious now, but this is a classic ebay scam. Post the bike for cheap, get some guys hooked, then pull the auction and deal with the guys out of ebay's protection.
The escrow service they're dying for you to use is just a buddy in the next room.
You send your money to "escrow" thinking you're being all safe-- you're not under ebay's buyer protection anymore!-- and you never see your cash again.
