Yeah...just wait until they don't get a TV contract...then how excited will people be?Quote:

i am glad to hear this. Finally these wankers got past their financial woes and get down to kicking some ass.
that's the spirit hill: Flyers are back!!
I think the first week or so of home games should be free! You know, get the fans back.
Go Avs!
I'm glad to see other Flyers fans, except I'm worried to see who else they'll lose to stay under the cap (already lost Recchi).Quote:

The pens are going all the way. (I'm not sure where they are going all the way to, but they will get there.)
Can't wait. I am going to have a party for opening day of the season, and it will be in my pants. You guys aren't invited to my pants party.
That sounds fun!
We can put on some pads.
Head up to the rink right up the street from my house.
Drink ten beers.
And beat the crap out of eachother to celebrate the hockey season.
It's all about the 10s.
The NHL needs to drop about 10 teams, expand the ice surface 10%, reduce the allowable size of goalie gear 10%, and call obstruction, grabbing, hooking and slashing about 10x better.
Hockey is such a beuatiful sport when played properly. The NHL product is all dump, clutch, grab, and hack.
So what you're saying is, you want them to play ol' time hockey, like Eddie Shorr.
Yeah coach! Like Eddie Shorr!
Piss on old time hockey!Quote:

True, and fuck Stevens and the Devils while you're at it.Quote:

which is the best argument for tweaking the rules.Quote:

I'm damn happy it's back. If they have to give away tickets maybe that city should have to give away it's team. I will watch my HNC every Saturday night this winter. I hope you sooutherners get some kind of TV contract set up but it's probably best for you to watch the CBC.
Go Oilers!!
Eggcellent, game on! Avs suck, Go Canucks Go!!
I totally agree with you. NJ and Detroit were the best at what they did, and they probably would have won playing any system. Detroit could even be fun to watch, as they tended to play the lock as opposed to a full nuetral zone trap, which still allows for offense, even if it is one-sided offense. The devils were the most boring of the good teams to watch, however.Quote:

I'm glad that hockey is back, and to be honest I am glad that reaching the agreement took as long as it did - I think it will help level the playing field for the smaller market teams.
It's going to be an exciting 6 weeks leading up to training camp with the draft, the free agent signings etc....lots of teams will look very different from 2003 - 04.
Define agreed to "in principle"
GO AVS ! ! !
No comments from KS ... Blues man missing?
As someone that works in TV. Some network will want this contract because the Hockey audience has the most upscale demos of any major sport.Quote:
