Looks like huntah is still spinning
Poring rain now, 60s for the weekend.
Both Gore and Whiteface are still open for daily operations with good coverage and lots o'trails. Whiteface is in better shape at this point.
You waited to April to freak out about a ski-less winter? Fail.

Big Boulder is supposed to be open this weekend. It will have park features.
i saw that
JUST park features?
suppose i could call them
again, ead
There is not much to Big Boulder except park stuff. It's all about rails and jumps and boards, but it's real, if it were not for park there would be nearly no reason to go there. It's not that far away from Philly, south central Jersey.
For next season, the gem of the Poconos is Jack Frost. Blue Mtn has terrible customer service, line management, and is way over-crowded but excellent and reliable moguls and good park. Camelback has confused runs, but secret lift has no lines ever. Shawnee is real, not especially crowded, small flat.
Man up and just drive to Jay.
Man up and fly to Colorado.
Pfft. Why waste time and $ on Colorado or Utah when you have Cameltoe within a short driving distance of the mid Atlantic area.
Did you call Big Boulder yet? Sometimes they respond faster via smoke signals.
long story short
lived in big sky
met a chick through mutual friends who lived in nj.
did the long distance thing for about half a year- met up for a few long weekends
figured we were never gonna "know" unless i moved
packed all my shit in my truck and drove cross country
one year later, im stoked on life and everything is going great.
now that the season is basically over, im gettin the itch to make some turns
Man, that's love.
Hot jersey babes, getcha every time.
Nateski, tell us more about your new life in New Jersey? Did you post a thread about this move some time not very long ago?
This story doesn't need to be so short. Big Sky to Big Boulder eh? Fuck that is fucked. Seriously, that is the super fucked.
We might need photos of said new lady friend to justify such a drastic move.
This thread may just be developing the wheels of potential.
yeah that was me that posted that "moved to jersey" thread last year.
its really not bad here. im 25 minutes from the ocean, hour-ish from nyc. hour-ish from philly.
its pretty pricey to live here. i pretty much just work all the time.
i MIGHT consider posting a pic at some point.
probably bot
Nateski ^^
I am in the same position. Blown shoulder from mtn biking in the late fall, then complications in Jan/Feb caused no skiing.
I am sacking up and driving to Jay next weekend with a buddy. long drive from mid-atlantic, but should be fun pond skimming party weekend. Plan to be there wed-sun. if you end up going shoot me a PM and we can link up for some turns or some beers. ill be the one at the bar asking for change for a nickel.
giggity giggity
ML242 ^^ How did you know?
We had a third buddy who was gona keep us in check due to a recent dui, but hes being a bitch, so im thinking MRG, Jay, Montreal for aforementioned hookers and blow, Grandpas, and as much HeadyTopper as I can find.
Tucks is awesome this year, man up http://timefortuckerman.com/
I've just left NJ for Bend. I need a job. Had a great job. I'm a geologist, if you know anybody hiring geologists in Bend. If you are in NJ, VT is where you have to ski. Jay Peak is almost like the west, almost. My friend Tom runs ski tours to VT from NJ. Great prices and times. Tell him I sent you. If you are with a group prices are great. If you are alone he will give you a better price than listed, but that means he is putting you up with others. Tell him if are going to party, hit first chair, or both and he will match you with similar people for your condo. He does a nice job. http://www.skithepeaktours.com/
