I don't get it.
isn't it bad juju to tell somebody else your mantra? very private, they say.
extreeski's starting to look sort of trollish.
I actually suspect that if anybody had any REAL beta they'd be spewing it on the board first thing...
I have two pair.
i retract
will ride wednsday, Ill post a review then.Quote:

Who can deny?
I look forward to the review.
It has way more sidecut than the explosiv.
anything more from dude le ski?
im curious as to what these things are like as well.
Bump.
Anyone ski these at Snowbasin today?
I did. Mantra is a good ski. Great edge hold and a semi twin. The rep told me its the same as the explosive as far as construction, with 10 more mm's at the tip and one less mm under foot. Turned pretty well but just had very little life to it. Fairly light ski as well.
Very little life.... meaning exactly what? Damp?Quote:

i have ridden them very little, i have the 84, they look damn sexy, its a softer explosive with a big gotama spatula, the combo works.
sorry, i skipped, its a shorter length ski, i am use to longer (193 shanook, 190 gotama, 190 explosive, 186 legend pro are my previous rides) i took that set-up to complete my quiver, its going to be my tourers, a lite set-up and quick turner.
its a seth pistol with a little less sidecut and a tad stiffer without the big tail... the dimmensions are quite similar to the pro rider in a lite feel to them...
So does that mean they are not as stiff and bomber as the Explosives? :frown:
...
....sucks its not a full twin tooQuote:

its been too long since i have ridden the pistols to compare...but i like the less sidecut, wich i like.
no crud was ridden here....

im not salivating im fucking mouth watering/slobbering everywhere.
edit: the tail looks very gotama like.
no the tail is old explosive exact
so then there is basically no twin??
Dude,
Let's get to the facts now: Are these as stiff as the old Explosives or not?
damn. its softer, softer can't ya all read !!!!! close to the gotama flex
the tail is like the wizard explosive one. its a flare. what d'ya need a bigger twin for, you landing switch in pow ? are ya ? reallly ?
no i haven't tried any other skis.
Damn that it's softer, I really hoped for an Explosive-like flex.
Think I will try it nevertheless.
Sweet. I think the gotama flex is pefect, stiff enough, but doesn't kill you. Excited to try these.
I'm pretty stoked, a well. I could whittle the quiver down to a Gotama, Mantra, and a park ski! The little lady would be so pleased...Quote:

Thank you dude-le-skibum. The pictures have me totally wanting those skis. Even at full price.
Speaking of ski length. A lot of people have been discussing how the ski is damp and therefore must be skied in the proper length to weight ratio.
If I am a hard charging 175 lb expert skier. (no kidding) would I ski it in the 177 or 184?
i'll sell ya mine...184...they are too short for my ride...Quote:

price? i bet you could get like 700 cause thats what seth vicious are going for these days.Quote:

dude le,
looking over this post, saw you mentioned the mantra is similar to a lighter feeling legend pro(with a smiliar footprint you said), wondering how youd specifically compare these two all around? powder, steeps, hard pack?
looking to have one of them as pretty much my go to ski.
thanks
