That's true but for those of us coming over to ski the US - we are going to be laughing!! :)
Unfortunately, I think in a year or two, $1.30 for one Euro will seem like a pretty good deal.

If you do your homework you will see that most of these economic indicators have nothing to do with President Bush. I am not defending his political ideology, but the dollar strength has little to do with his policies. The dollar is considered overvalued given the incredible current account deficit (Americans love foriegn goods), but we havent seen a significant corrective fall in the dollar because of huge capital account inflows largely from asian economies (Japan and China) buying up our debt to influence their parity. You could talk about tax cuts, but fiscal policy needs much longer to course through system than monetary. Also, I dont really know what you mean by 'real' inflation...usually things such as GDP are given the term 'real' when they are corrected for inflation. Not try to step on toes.
