Shit.......this is just wrong!
you know what, they'll still love him at fenway and that's the reason he can do it.
Yep, not his fault. For $12 million more, I can't really blame him. This is a big loss, no doubt about it. Betcha they end up trading Arroyo now.
At least his shoulders won't be of concern anymore to the sox. Maybe Sheffield will realize Johnny throws like a girl and kick his ass back up to Boston.
hahahahahahah.......sniffle........hahahahaha..... snort.............

And, oh, don't think he's going to be hugged and kissed back in Boston next year.
damn, these guys would stop traffic down in the west village
A few quarter sticks in his direction next time he's in center field at Fenway will make him feel right at home. I heard the Sox went to $50 mil/4 years and he still went to the Yanks. What a fucking traitor. For $500,000 a year, he switches sides, and agrees to cut his hair and shave all season? Does this guy have no standards or individuality? I hope Sox pitching beans him repeatedly.
HAHAHA...no.Quote:

I really wish I liked Baseball enough to care, but understand that many here, including most of my closest buds, are personally affected by this.

I remember one at-bat of his I was watching last summer...I think it was at Fenway....and he reached way out and down for a nasty curve, almost in the dirt, and got an easy double out of it. Hit it wicked fah.
That's when I thought he would be a worthy successor to Bernie. but that arm,.....oy
Nomah is a a Dodgah,
should I be excited?
with their other moves
seems they are trying to boost their average age up over 35
ha ha ha ha ha....and you're correct, the Bosox aren't that bad....it's the fans that give them the bad name, right?Quote:

Can anybody find the picture of the taped outline of his body splattered on the center field wall at Fenway from last summer? That was funny.
Who's he gonna get high with, now that Manny won't be there in the scoreboard?
sox went to $40 mil/4yrsQuote:

maybe he will grow a powerful wade boggs syle moustache now.
A few thoughts from a broken Sox fan:
This is a tragedy for the Nation. There are so few legitimate leadoff hitters in the game and we had the best one.
I am royally bummed out.
As gay as his haircut is, the guy is tough as dirt, too.
You had to think that he wanted to get to a bigger pond. That guy loves the spotlight.
I think Coco Crisp would be a pretty good option in center and I think we focus all of our Damon Dollars on Roger. I also back Loretta at Shortstop.
I don't like it. Damon is a dick and has no arm. Of course, if he hits .300+, I will immediately change my mind.
Nah, he's not a dick. He's not going to win a lot of chess matches, and I doubt that he can even read the book he allegedly wrote, but he's really tough and never dogs it. Has the occasional brain lock on the bases, but not a real liability in that area. I would be a little concerned about that arm in Yankee Stadium, but he'll definitely get to balls that Williams wouldn't have in his prime. He's a really good player.
Mr. Dallas may be right. He will be much less of a dick once he moves from Boston.
The Sox'll be just fine.
