Sunset Photos ...
While I love the Primo Pics thread with all the sickter, mcrickter skiing shots, I love great sunsets. Clear sunsets are boring (in a manner of speaking). When I see clouds (be it big phattys or thin whispers), I try and make sure not to miss the sunset - always blows my mind the different colors, intensities, patterns, etc. Now that I got a kickin' lil digi cam that is small enough that I can take anywhere, some coolio pics are gonna be showing up on a regular basis of alot of neat stuff.
I'll start it with some shots of the sunset last night (4/25/05) that I captured on my way down from getting disoriented/lost up at Alta and ending up on the opposite side of Germ Pass than I thought (don't even ask).

This one seems to have lost, for the most part, its rosy tint - but the sky in the background is amazing, IMHO.

Spanky - nice shots, although the one from the Lodge at Koele makes me cringe 'cause I was raised by the old Hawaiian family whose ranch house was demolished to build that hotel. The exact spot of your photo (right next to the old Hawaiian church there in front of the hotel uphill from the horse pasture across the road) is where our sandbox and swingset used to be. I spent a lot of time in the big banyan tree in front of the hotel......sad. What's left of their family now lives on those two houses up by themselves to the lookers' left of the hotel, and when Tutu (grandma) passes on, they might tear down those two and evict their relatives as well....too bad the hotels provide the economy and jobs or I would really hate them....
On a brighter note, this thread is tits! Some of the best photos I've seen in a while.
