We decided to save some dough on presents, spending it on a little trip together somewhere instead. Still, it's not actually possible NOT to buy a present, but I just realized I'm leaving town and have to have the thing today!

If you go the VS route, be very careful. Don't buy what you want to see her in, but what she'd actually like to wear. Most women - not all - would rather something comfy (and still sassy) than something lacy and unpractical. Sorry, but it's true.
A class - maybe a cooking class or jewelry class.
A beautiful journal or photo album.
