Had an awesome day in the rain on Friday. Up top there was ~4” of great schmooo before they shut it down around noon. Down low the rain soaked “groomers” were the best piste I’ve ever skied at Alpy.
The Shell off exit 22 has some primo rain gloves in stock. Fully dipped, insulted, orange, cut level 4 work gloves. Way better ergonomics than my insulated rubbers…

New sessel lift going in this summer. Hoping this turns out well as my son is signed up for lesson la next winter so we will be riding it a lot.

More uphill capacity will only result in twice as many gapers on the hill. Now you don't even have upper Nash as a filter for jongs and Jerry's, the amount of cliffed out rescues will be through the roof. The lines will quickly become equally as long as current chair 2 lines. You can take that to the bank.

As long as parking capacity doesn't increase, lift lines have to be shorter, right? I'll be happy as long as parking capacity stays roughly where it's at, but I recognize some folks prefer to preserve snow at the sake of lift lines.
Ever since they added the low entrance to Nash many years ago, it's not much of a filter anyways. Any hack can take that low entrance and traverse over to skiers left where the slope is only 30-35 degrees.
But I agree carnage in the Felsen drainage seems inevitable. Even I get stuck in a crappy spot there sometimes, and I know better.

That’s marginally easier. That ramp still shoots you out pretty fast over 2-3ft moguls on most days.
I think a little contouring was done, but imho it's still an impediment to a lot of folks. I still see people walking up out of there occasionally.Quote:
