It is the distinction between CBD derived from marijuana and CBD from hemp oil that sets them apart. Marijuana is harvested for its buds, which contains psychoactive properties known to produce stoned effects. When it comes to hemp, the stalks and seed are the targets of this crop. Just at vets. Recommended a product ElleVet, which was studied at Cornell, double blind, placebo. Made and sourced in USA (MAGA!!!). They publish gas chromatograph info to show content.
Vet has several large dogs, a couple old with arthritis. Once she stated using this stuff, she was able to stop pain meds, but did keep using rimadyl. She and other office staff, and clients swear by it. Gonna try some.
Interesting, vet said 20% of dogs lack cannabanoid receptors.

Beyond deciding on ratio there is form to consider - gel or lotion/cream or salve/balm. The stuff I use is a salve in a shea butter base. I'm a sucker for shea butter so that is what attracted me to it in the first place. It also has camphor in it which I love too.
