we used to eat there when I was a kid. The eventual number of cases was 55. Apparently from home canned chiles.
They used to sell T shirts "I survived Trini and Carmen's". I don't recall how many cases were fatal, if any.

One time I cooked and ate DTM’s chili recipe. It was so hot that I had to go for an endoscopy a few days later. Who knows, maybe I used the wrong ingredients. In any case I probably would not make it again. It was delicious, but it blew my doors off
