They were unloading this 918 Hybrid in front of my office. $845k, in 2010. They only made a couple This thing was beautiful. I can not figure out how to get these things rotated. ON my computer they are the correct way. WTF

That's a really cool shot I missed somewhere up-thread.
No shortage of articles about Cayennes being used as proper off road vehicles, maybe not rock crawlers, but no different than stock Rovers and LX's and holding their own just fine.

True, I had fun watching a couple cayenne off road video today, but with the wheels and tires they put on them, you re never going to go 140mph. So you are back to a compromised vehicle. Not as good off road as a real suv, and not as much fun to drive as a sports car. For the record, the Lexus lx models are typically based on a land cruiser platform.
No question, I'm in possession of my family's old LX 470 which is now relegated to life in Low Country and the roughest it sees is deep sand and salt air. (as opposed to salt roads and Lake Erie winters) I'm just impressed at what these vids show they Cayenne is capable of when the low pro wheels and whatnot are stripped off. :)Quote:

We tried the X5 3! times to no avail, so I'm with you. Electrical gremlins abound. All were tanks in the snow, most notably the e53, but even when we moved south the problems were too much to live with.Quote:
