checkedout s boundary line (take the low line on the hike way less technical lesson learned)& the multi fracture stepdowns seen in the pics from last week- obvsly all the new was movin and it was dumpin so cldnt see much--found better flow doin liftline a few times skiin Nsides of tree islands and poking thru the rockbands, just can't open up over there got the brdgrchair speedfix later on good times keep the faith

will post an email/contact plan asap for the hat if i can trackit down--its her hair in her face but snorkel works dang imprecise chinese child labor

Our own Lobstahmeatwad graced the daily vid; heels locked but the double pole plant remains, way to get it buddy...

Would love to be up there instead of cunting up this fine thread, but the road back from gimpville is longer than anticipated. Glad to hear we're getting some good base snow. 1 to 3 inches of 15% every few days beats the shit out of 3 feet of cold joke on crust in my book. Bring it...

Gotta agree, the cream cheese was decent skiing and base-building too. Rolled the dice in South Bowl and came out unscathed -- it's fucking shallow out there though.

Bridger was actually pretty good today until the power went out to the whole canyon...just a couple minutes after Sluschmans opened too...bummer for the people stuck at the bottom. I was at the head of the horde of people who went right for the Fingers and had a deep run down 3rd finger.

Was up there this AM with the kids and wife for a short family day...we were heading out just as power was lost. How long was it out?

They called it for the day...dunno if it ever came back on. There was a NW truck working on a pole just after the M on the way back into town though. Maybe related?

Yeah, sounds like a transformer blew down low, Whole valley was out. Sad day for BB, I hope they're doing alright financially, today was a loss for them. Sound like power kicked back on around 1:30, but it was already called a day. Tomorrow shall be great!

yesterday afternoon was pretty good as well. snowing real hard after 2pm but it was the tiniest flakes in the world so not much accumulation. still felt like storm skiing though. south bowl was soft in places, found some nice deep sections too. better than i was expecting.

here you find a former new englander turned scandinavian transplant who is going to spend a few days in Bozeman feb26-mar2. had some avy training and skied bunch of off piste in alps.. going to buy some equipment for myself when I am back in the US as the price is much cheaper. how are the options in bozeman area price wise? or should I just search online?

anyone going to be at bridger or big sky during that period feel like having someone tag along (i follow directions well- such as stick right or dont go through there)? i spring for teh 3 B's (beer BBQ and bud) for services rendered.

Wow. 88 inches so far counting October and even that's a stretch. Certainly less than 30 inches each month for 4 months running, what are the statistical chances of that, like 1%?

^^75" total @ Keystone and Vail is saying 138 and that counts October and is a stretch. About 35 of that fell in the last 2 weeks....odd winter for everyone.

Even still, the snow totals for the year is troubling. I wonder if the season is even salvageable? Although there season pass were probably pretty strong as last year's snow tends to sell this year's stuff.

Undoubtedly. It seems possible that Bridger will close the season with < 200 inches. I'm already concerned that mountain biking season will turn into fire season instead.

Ha, that is my concern too. Not enough moisture and things dry out real quick. Then, the rivers get close so no fishing and things are hot, dry and terrible. And then ... with all the beetle kill around here, things will burn like white gas.

as of feb1 a yr ago bet I was thru this 20+ times, this yr not once- plenty goin on without sh!t breakin loose all hardlike...

Holy cow looking at all of those numbers makes my head spin...regardless of what Bridger has been or what it will be, skiing is skiing. tele matt and I had a good time today shredding the trace that fell last night....it was skiing reall good, slushies was great and D-route had some sloughy goodness that accompanied us all the way down Job 2. I'll let you mathematicians take care of the base calculations, I'll keep skiing my rocks skis.

'twas a fun run through there last year, base...thanks for showing the way. Sure, it's been a little grim on the snowfall front, but there is some real good fun skiing on some aspects....no lines at Slushie's either:biggrin: I believe Nedanderthal found some fun smooth windbuff in The John on the daily vid if I'm not mistaken. In a twisted way this "herd-thinner" has been enjoyable without all the Powder Puffs...wonder if today's 4" will bring them out...
