Yeah, I've never seen Lynx so pissed about riding the Crest, bad day for her but she was solid on the climbs I thought. I guess the downhill didn't treat her right this time.
I'm riding the Crest again at least twice this coming week-to Millcreek for sure. Let's meet up ladies! And dudes I guess.:)
Anyone up for a ride tomorrow (Monday) night. After some good wedding partying last night, and a day off today, I definitely need to get out tomorrow night.
Crest or PC anyone??
so like...i think its possible that i broke my tail bone. :( i still can't sit right, it hurts to bend over, it hurts to lean on it, it hurts when i'm in public trying to squeeze in a fart, and it even hurts when i sneeze!!!!! I mean, what the F!?!? And you should see this bruise. possibly the gnarliest bruise i have ever had. even though its on my ass i might take pictures just cause its so freakin ugly.
NO!!! I knew that would really be possible, I wouldn't doubt it from what you say. So I guess riding is out for a while till you can heal.Quote:

Good luck Lynx, heal up quick!
Edit: 1000th post!
Hey ladies...been out of town for the last little while but would love to get out! Anybody interested in an early morning Mill D Crest ride on Saturday? I was thinking 7:30/8:00ish to beat the heat (and apparently the runners?? )
I'm psyched to see the flowers coming out :D
i think you have to go at 5am to beat the runners :(
i wish my ass wasn't the color of eggplant right now, otherwise i'd so be down.
So what exactly happened? I dont think the story was ever posted?Quote:

Lynx: I totally feel your pain. I broke my tailbone and compressed my back about 10 years ago while snowboarding. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do to speed up the healing process and it can be quite painful. Keep us updated on your healing, and let us know when you're ready to ride again.
I'm planning on doing the Crest saturday morning. Either super early with Otter (Steve Lloyd) or a bit later around 7:30am. Let me know if/when ya'll are going to ride on saturday.
Bags and I are hitting up the Crest on Thursday night. The maggettes are always invited.
altachic, how's the tire working out for you?
CS, I have to say I enjoy looking at your photos!!!! Always a pleasure to see other photogs work. We should get together soon and shoot. What time are you doing the crest? Is your leg feeling better?
Cool, thanks man, glad you enjoy the pictures.Quote:

I haven't ridden for a couple days, so I plan on riding the Crest with you fools...first time on that new tire, I'm stoked!Quote:

Put down your fork and look at my ass!
Ok Re, that IS gnar. That is more gnar than the secret XXX gnar.
I wish you could ride with us but you obviously need to heal up for a while.
Whoa, that sucks. You're right on about the eggplant color.....
Wow, I've never seen anything like it....I never believed an ass could be so white...
:fmicon:
Just kidding. The white goes very well with the eggplant hue. :p
HaH! yer right, my ass is pretty white. i don't think it's -quite- that white in reality, but i won't lie, it doesn't see the sun too often.
------>
in other news, my roomie and I are planning to host a Mary Kay party from one miss BooBooKitty, and you all should def. come!!
we are looking at Tuesday evening, August 8th. Probably around 6pm. PM me if you're interested! (send me your email addy too, and I will check back with everyone when the day gets closer to confirm that you will definitely be there.)
Is that the baby Jesus I see in your lily white ass bruise.
Mill D at 6:30, I'll be there.
Bags and the AGs are out but I'll see you there. See if I can grab your hat for ya IG.
Thanks R.Quote:

Meet at the mouth and carpool? I'll call you.
Desert Canceled, The national guard thinks I need work on my people skills. Might want to head to Mill D. Don't know who all is showing up.
I was going to ride the crest, but CS called and said they couldn't so I re-arranged my schedule without seeing you dudes were going...lame! Maybe next week. Oh, and I'm riding the Crest with tradygirl on saturday morning around 7:30am if anyone wants to join.
Can we do the whole Mill Creek loop so I can just ride home?Quote:

I would love to ride all the way to Millcreek but I'm tight for time. I have to get back and get some things done before I have to be at this event Backcountry.com is sponsoring at the Olympic Park on Saturday.
Would you want to ride just to Mill D anyway? It will be fun!
Is that the women's nordic jumping event? I'll be up there for skeleton training (thus no Crest) until about 10, maybe see you. But ladies, I'm putting my XC bike back together today, and no DH races for two weeks, so I'm in for something!Quote:

Me and the hubby are considering it.
Lynx - I would hope that most people on this board have butt cheeks that don't see the sun very often. Ugh.
Yeah Yentna, I'll be at the Backcountry booth at the ski jumping event tonight and tomorrow night....ya'll should come by for music, food, beer and ski jumping!
So tradygirl, what time do you want to meet at mill d tomorrow morning?
I'll look for you Liz, if we're still up there. Have fun!
And Tradygirl, what time are you thinking Mon morning?
If you guys are doing the crest tomorrow morning give me a call, I'd love to tag along. 5 one 0, five 2 oh, 98 one four. Will be arriving in SLC late tonight, but definitely willing to get up early to ride.
Thanks.
Yentna- not sure yet, but probably relatively early. Maybe 8 or 9? I'll talk to Josh and see what he thinks, but we're up for anything. Let me know if a later time works better for you.
Just ran into Josh over at LDDs place actually, the two of them prepping for the E100 madness tomorrow. They pretty much convinced me to come monday for Crest, even though I was considering an easier ride in PC (due to no XC for well over a month! ). But it's time my Crest cherry was popped.... ;)Quote:

I'm also up for riding crest on monday. Anytime works for me. Tonight was my first 2+ hour xc ride of the season and it felt good to get the cobwebs out.
I might be up for a crest - millcreek ride on Monday morning. Haven't ridden all the way into millcreek yet this year...it's about time. :)
Keep me posted on a meeting time....I'm not very good at early mornings, especially on my days off work, but might be up for this one.
Thanks for a good ride today IG, tradygirl and Big Blue.
Wanna see something totally gnar?

Always watch where your rotor is when you've just finished using your disc brakes, down Mill D and your trying to take your front tire off to get it onto the car.
Holy crap this burn hurts.
Oh, and CS...this new back tire feels like I have an extra 10billion lbs on my bike, thanks a lot. NOT!
Heh, nice AC. I've been slightly burned once and came close many many times.
AC that's nuts!!
i swear, i should start a photo project on the maggette's bike wounds/scars/bruises/burns
