I went to your mountain
I skied your runs!
So how can you say I'm crazy?!
I'm not crazy! (Institution!)
You're the one that's crazy! (Institution!)
You're driving me crazy! (Institution!)
They stick me in an institution
Said it was the only solution
To give me the needed professional help
To protect from the enemy, myself
PS. For those who missed it. It’s one of the best punk songs ever

Did anyone else feel the earthquake? There was a 3.7 NNE of Tetonia at 4:21 this afternoon.
Pretty not bad out there, if that is your sort of thing.

Meanwhile, I am hoping to finish my book of ski photography (from '22/'23) in the next week or so. Putting it in writing to keep myself on track.
I am actually into that sort of thing.
Dam, missed the xmas cutoff on the book!
killer shot hopefully a sign of good to come!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Only got to read the first 1/2 so far, and it's great.
Man.... I wanted to have it done MONTHS ago, but life got in the way. That said, I've never put my work out there in this way before, so whenever it comes it's a win. I'm not going to beat myself up over that — I'm really good at beating myself up over things! :)
Reported as a 3.6.
I felt it at the village. Was just a short, momentary shake, but enough to be certain that it was a quake.
Solid FKNA morning at the village. Skied some lightly tracked.up higher. No crowds till base are at 11.
Thanks DJ.. great skiing w you. Stoked!
Ghee off the charts Bluebird pow day…. Classic under reporting to boot [emoji869][emoji869]
As far as days go, this was a hell of one.

I came home with 200 similar photos.
Anyone ski in jeans 2day?
I would like to echo that the article was well written and interesting. Those incidents were so strange during that already strange time and she captured it well
nice! glad you got some.
skied early and then had some out of town business (beautiful drive through the snake river canyon today)
holler if skiing tomorrow too but thinking you probably were capitalizing on the cheap ski tix today
Pleasantly surprised with the upper mountain coverage, got a couple late day thunder and subbie laps. Real nice snow and some off piste in.

Hear, hear, that was a fun am and we got in quite few laps. Mostly fast, some soft and some sweet light crud.
Thanks for taking the time to roll down and bust a move.
Skiing was choice before the denim onslaught. Genuinely some of the weakest skiers in forever. OOOf.
Fucking excellent. There's no 2 ways about it, as the local little sister to the village, the 'ghee is built like a brick shithouse. That place can stand up to the Big one in any season and take it to school.
Targhee on a Blue pow day is stellar, especially if jhmr is hosting a dumb jeans-a-thon for cheap.
Not I and I.
This has been an interesting snow start and the pics show how well it has stacked up for us.
Yesterday's photo was great but today's first one is my choice for best so far
UAN - Fantastic!! Really great shots
Thanks! It was part of a sequence.

So hit me w music...
Guy I know says "Trenchton" (like Kingston, I guess) — I'm always like "That's not what that is." :)
Bit of a different day out there today. Still fun. Stormy. Velvety surface.

Opening of Colter at Targhee was awesome today. It wasn't crowded and the snow was knee deep. Incredible day!
Pretty dead in here. Soft snow on some shady N-facing zones.

Solid as always

Going to do some early season technique tuneup with Crystal Wright and coaches this weekend at the village
Looking forward to getting schooled
I wonder if she knows Gordy?

Tram opens Saturday. Personally on the sidelines for a bit more (ankle) after a rock hit...careful out there.
I haven’t flown with skis in a few years. Flying United back to the EC on Monday and wondering if I still get a ski bag for the price of a regular checked back.
Anyone know? DJ?

Huh.

I fly opposite.
Sadly now.
Large ski bag. Under fitty pounds is just a bag. No worries. Skis poles clothing etc.
Back in the day you got one single ski bag and one boot bag. But who checks their boots. Fuck that. Boots and footbeds are carryon. Always. I’ll ski in jeans. And rental skis. But boots are like my wife. No one fucks my boots.
PS. Clothing in my ski bag is in kitchen garbage bags. Over the years I’ve had zippers blow out, and having my clothes on the tarmac is an ugly thought.
Yeah... so well articulated
1 ski Bag - 50#
1 Boot Bag - 50#
(without ur boots in it)
... together, they qualify as "sports equipment"
1 checked luggage bag - 50#
Fees per bag IF your flight is getting a premium for checked luggage.
Bootbag has to look like/be a Boot Bag
Always carry your boots on. Unless you don't mind rental boots. :fm:
I've been skiing past the bowl thinking, fuck yeah, I'd ski that. Looks creamy. Also some big mofo rocks sticking up still. Gonna be a bit of carnage mepredicteth.
Skiing like I'm over revving my motor in 3rd gear for days now, tryin' to be safe.
Go easy on it, not missing anything but turns for now.
Pretty certain the ski bag translates to any typical 'checked bag'. The weight is the key factor.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Skiing is so nice right now, as there's so few people and the existing snow is playing super friendly. On piste and off is solid. Sounds like the 'Ghee is having a nice opener, prolly softer than the vill for now.
I expect to be out this weekend EoB. will holla. Early speed laps? Straight to tram?
I'm hesitant to bring out the new skinny(96mm) skis yet but it sure is the type of snow for them.
Hoar-hey fixing to get yelled at by Crystal. Don't be afraid to yell back at her.:cussing:
She respects that shit deep down.
Sorry to hear about the ankle @wstdeep. I'm sure you will be back to your mind bending adventures soon.
As for big red. LFG! Sugar and cream cheese are on the menu for Saturday's breakfast.
