Wow, we headed off to BC last Thursday for a SWEET ski trip with great friends and missed all of this bullshit. I gave up on reading anything in the ski forum a long time ago as the internet tools took over that side of TGR, now it’s being spread here too. This thread (and the other one about the same topic) have to be an example of the biggest losers on the internet to date. WTF happened to skiing being fun? It’s not all about who got the raddest, who toured the furthest, who wear’s what… it really isn’t. I realize internet forums are now just for that but seriously, what have these two threads in particular proven or provided to any community?

Loser #1 actually uses a Go-Pro to film Loser #2 give him shit for being a Fucktard. Loser #2 really heats up FB with shit that should get his teeth knocked in. Loser #1 keeps fanning the flames, being egged on by internet losers from just about everywhere but where the “act of aggression” took place. Soul-Brother stoners from every canyon north of LCC join in stating “how it is at Alta”, even though they don’t ski there. What a fucking waste.

Guess what? There are assholes EVERYWHERE. Learn to ignore them. Live your life without even noticing them. It works. I’ve been here for 12 seasons now and learned a few years ago that it really is best to just ski past all of them. Don’t talk to them, don’t respond to them, go about your life. For some reason, they all back down if I even look in their general direction. Know why? Because they are all Pussies when “real life” looks back at them straight in the eye.

Lastly, being a considerate person does not make you a bad person, nor a Sheeple. It makes you a considerate person, period. Waiting in line on a busy day is not the end of the world.

No bro, I'm not too stoked on all of this. As I have stated before, I got called out for being "discourteous" in line and taking a shortcut to get to the front, it's no different than anybody who calls out "singles" and ducks the rope. I was just intending to do a little more civilized version of that.

Jon Wade called me out for it, I didn't feel I was in the wrong and stood my ground. Shit obviously escalated from that point. I am truly thankful it stopped when it did, because based on what we now know, if there was any further altercation it may have ended with myself and Mr. Wade in police custody.

This whole episode is full of lessons to be taken away. I never intended for unofficialbird to grab the video and viral the fuck out of it. I intended to post it here to show what aggressive behavior is present in the LCC as I was completely blown away that it happended. Sure my pride was hurt and I felt kinda trapped that I had my job, lift pass, police record, etc. on the line and couldn't react the way I would normally. Shit if we had fought it out we probably woulda/coulda ended up friends in the end. I'm sure we've all fought with our sisters or brothers or friends at some point.

But anyway, not to come to Jon's defense too much, but we have all lost it at some point. Shit, I've lost it many times and made and ass outta myself. Regardless of his behavior I didn't intend for a total shitstorm to come out of this.

We all need to take a step back and look at this whole situation for a moment and I will expound on what I have learned:
1) Don't be a douche in the lift line. If you cut, take shortcuts, get "aggro or get physical than we all lose. Gotta consider others next time.
2) Think before you post shit on the internet, as society evolves, so does the level of integration with real life. Stuff on here has repercussions.
3) Repeat of #2 - I got pissed off and posted a video and it blew up huge, honestly that's the first time that happened. Gotta think more next time.
4)Maybe handle things more gentleman-like. The next time you want to loose your cool, just don't. Remember we all are here to get our piece of the pie, doesn't matter if it's on the ski hill or in traffic. Just play it cool.

I've learned more lessons than this from this incident, but TGR is not a place to stand on a fuckin' soapbox for too long, so I will step off it.

Jon, I'm sure you are pretty upset over all this, I truly hope this cools down soon. That's the nature of this fucked up life we live. Let's just vow to get the from it that we can. Props to you for spending 15+ years in the canyon gettin' after it and living the dream - your dream, cause there's a lot of us that never make the plunge. I'm glad I made it myself.
