Summerteeth bringing the positive stoke as always.
We drove by FKNAv4 and I commented that road looked like a probable spot. Hope to see you guys. I'm going to try to meet up at Ginny in the am also. I drove up at 5:30 today and it looked awesome. Also, they're going to open 120 up to tioga pass tomorrow (the road up, not the road thru Yosemite).
Power is out at Mountain Shadows right now so Turx, Cindy, me and my non-mag friend are drinking at Robertos. May go find 45hill at Grumpys in a bit.
Email me or call me if you're looking for me.
^^
PattyE and Twins pull thru :D Load that ski up with some of Bodhi's brews and I'm guessing a good time will be had by all. Enjoy the weekend.
45hill has invited all of maggotdom to Grumpy's rather than Roberto's for Friday night. He's working behind the bar and I'm pretty sure I just heard him say we'll have happy hour pricing all night. I'm up for that, especially since the hockey game will be on at Grumpy's.
It's on bitches.
Oh, and somebody please turn the fucking lights back on in our condo.
FKNA! Shotski has been tested with my nonskier neighbors. Its a go bitches.....
Se you on the hill.
Sorry I'm missing this, and looking forward to the full report.
Especially since I think I got my knuckledragger buddy who's a private pilot to plan a day trip with me the second or third week of June.
Thanks for establishing a good camp, I'll see you guys tonight. Leaving Topaz around 2pm. Grumpy's it is.
[quote=asandygal;2871231] Finally, a voice of reason, and from a girl, too;) She is more of man then the rest of you weather pussies. We got snow, a great mountain, lots of alcohol (thanks Bhodi), and a bunch of maggots read to have a good time. So, shut the fuck up about the not perfect conditions, and man up and enjoy the mini.
Anybody have a better description for the location of Fort FKNAv4? If I make it all the way to Mammoth tonight i will be rolling in late (I may just sleep somewhere along 395 if I don't get out of work at a reasonable time.) If I make it early, I will head to Roberto's, which means finding the fort will be challenging either way.
I'm cool with the Grumpy's idea and cheap drinks for all. Also, not to fracture the party of intrepid souls who are going to be braving the elements, but if anybody would rather have a spot on a couch or a mattress send me a PM, we have space.
See you party people soon!
Anybody have a better description for the location of Fort FKNAv4?
3.8 miles from the mammoth end of the loop rd.
only about 100 yds from the rd. snowbank prevented further progress, but i saw someone drive over it this morn when things were frozen.
kudos on the shotski, i am lookikg forwardto testing it
I am sooooooooo disappointed I missed this yet again :( next year for sure...
[quote=hutash;2871648] Yea? Your funny. Talk like a faggot on the MM forum and here your a bad ass? You my friend don't know shit about the hill right now. Go play in your crazy costumes and get drunk. yippeeeeee you found a click. Make sure to post up those pix of the babes you roll with tough guy!!!! Out. Oh yea...fuck landis. but the race was bitchen today.
^^^summertoufus=butthurt. Bwahahhaaaaaaa!!!
Huh? That was a bit all over the place.
This is not correct. If you want direction, pm me your number.
No snow travel required, it's a very large turnoff just east of inyo craters road by about 1/2 mile. You will see cars and camping gear about 300 yds. Down the dirt road.
Really? This s a compliment riight?
Anyways, some of us went touring yesterday. The world did not end. In fact, we actually had fun. Not that you give a crap. I plan on having fun again today. Boilerplate or not.
See you folks on the hill, I'm imbounds today. Oh yeah, I also made mcposer proud at ft. Fkna. Road to nowhere = dug out with my avy shovel, and the "mined" materials were used for a construction project. More on that later.
After a couple of decent posts not related to 333 skis I thought summertits might be okay after all, but it's nice to know he really is a dick.
So, conditions are't perfect, so the fuck what, we can, and will have a great mini.
BTW, if you see a white with blue stripe Dodge Sportsmobile van parked by the sign at the Mill, that's me. I've gone high brow, but more importantly, there are
Newcastle's in the fridge, so knock if I'm around.
Cheers
awww man this isn't mammoth...its pismo :nonono2:
good thing kite boarding is off the hook right now:the_finge

ottime taking advantage of the general shittiness of the situation
http://www.aboutlaketahoe.com/images...mini%20080.jpg
at 3:15, morale had hit an all time low. but then something strange happened. the clouds began to give way to the sun's radiant light, and as we were about to drop in to the final exit chute, i looked back.
http://www.aboutlaketahoe.com/images...mini%20089.jpg
"let's go for a walk", i said. "how far", said dookey. "i don't know. if the snow get's bad, we'll stop", replied powdork. ottime was already putting his skins on.
fortunately, we were able to stay far enough ahead of dookey that we couldn't hear his insults.....
because the light, the beautiful light, was no match for the wind and sub freezing temps.

we built a shelf just under the top out next to the large cornice in one of the pics above
http://www.aboutlaketahoe.com/images...mini%20111.jpg
from our shelf. the snow here was actually shitty enough to make it a fun part of the adventure. my goal was to turn right out of the shelf and line up under ottime for the next pic. it was firm and unsmooth.
http://www.aboutlaketahoe.com/images...mini%20126.jpg
would have been a better pic if i was 200' feet higher:rolleyes2
http://www.aboutlaketahoe.com/images...mini%20139.jpg
it was better a bit lower. ottime showing off his new on3p's, and his lacrosse face. this is serious shit!

i could have had a better time if it wasn't so ugly
http://www.aboutlaketahoe.com/images...mini%20198.jpg
down low above lake george we found good snow in an alternate exit chute.
http://www.aboutlaketahoe.com/images...mini%20217.jpg
and then the waterfall shot (or dookeys redemption) down to twin lakes
http://www.aboutlaketahoe.com/images...mini%20222.jpg
fin (for me anyway). i'm rather certain the fun continued.

Umm, it's dumping right now and there are several inches on the ground at fkna (which was as dry as a bone yesterday by the way). I guess summerteeth is right, shoulda stayed home and not skied pow :(
Sorry the weather hasn't been the best thus far for you maggs, especially those hearty campers at the fort.
I have a feeling Sunday's MM Bacchanal at the Mill will more than make up for it!
Missed seeing you all(even if I wouldn't have skied), hopefully I'll be up for it next time.
Kampai!
Oh, my. Goodness. May powder is always welcome.
good mini Mini, weather seemed to weed a lot of people out , but fun was had, added may powder was a nice touch to finish it off. Excellent skiing with and seeing lots of old and new faces.

FKNA indeed. Looks like everyone had fun. Bummed I missed it as well.
nice skiing with you vets and others, and by the way, the bro 196s kill it!
Too bad. Blackcomb sucked as well.
