'Cheatin' Hearts' a poll of maggot infidelity

It's hot, I'm bored and this gem appeared in the 'related to' threads at the bottom of the page.

So, a year later, I'm casting my vote and bumping it. Some interesting stuff here.

I've never cheated on a significant other but I've been the 'third party', once. At the time I thought that what was between us was so important it would have justified almost anything to see it through. Though I didn't, at the time, believe a close mutual friend of all parties who told me what fate obviously awaited me, he was right. This situation turned out to be the biggest mistake I've ever made and eventually put me in the column of "have been cheated on".

Why would you want to be w/someone who would cheat on someone to be w/you... as then wouldn't you think they'd have no problem doing the same thing to you...?

I don't get it. But I'm lucky to not be in it... close recently. But took a look around and remembered in time.

Oh yeah...I remember when you posted that story a few years back. How she cheated on you and then you posted her nekkid pic. How's she doin these days? Sounds like she blew it! And she was cute! Ever talk to her any more?

She was trying to "friend" me on those myspace and facebook sites that I haven't checked in forever. Other than that, I have no clue what she's up to.

The wife and I got together by cheating on her boyfriend who just so happened to be one of my best friends. We felt bad as hell about it. He was in Chicago looking for an apartment for them to move into. She came to town to say goodbye and that was too much for our friendship.We ended up getting drunk and having guilty sex. Ash and I had been really good friends for four years and when we tried to say goodbye to one another it just couldn't be done. I told my friend about it ASAP. He called up my phone wondering where she was (she was sitting next to me) and I spilled my guts and told him everything. We broke his heart something awful. He was VERY in love with her. But our connection was just way too strong. We knew that we could have a wonderful life together. That was 6 years ago. We've been married for four and in that time we do ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING together! We are one helluva a team and both look forward to growing old with one another. We haven't talked to my friend since. Thats a bummer because he's really cool and we both miss hanging out with him but I don't blame him for never wanting to see us again. I know I probably wouldn't.

I've been cheated on and have never cheated. I posted about it a few weeks ago... Then deleted the thread... I've also been the 3rd party although I had no idea the girl was in a relationship cause it was a drunken hookup, never saw her again just heard through friends who knew her. I'd never cheat on someone cause, shit, I wouldn't wish that feeling of hurt on anyone in the world

I had a gf @ home, and went state away for college. We'd been dating for almost 2 years. Things got real rocky as the year progressed, became stagnant, we were "together" but there wasn't much there. I met this girl @ my school, we hit it off like a bad John Cusack movie. We hung out a few times. I knew this new girl was someone I wanted to persue a relationship with, and had planned on breaking it off w/ the gf at home, but after a party we were drunk and hooked up. I didn't break up w/ the other one for a few more days. So I cheated, felt like a complete douche, but have since moved on. The new girl and I have been together ever since tho, almost 2 years now, and I couldn't be happier.

18 years ago I lived with my college sweetheart. We had been dating for 4 years and lived together for two of those years.

My best friend had gotten in trouble with the law and was on probation. He had rented a Rug Doctor from a grocery store and when he tried to return it they had lost record of it and would not accept it. He was scared the "police warning" on the side of the Rug Doctor would violate his probation so he gave the Rug Doctor to me until his probation was up.

One day I came home from work and found my best friend and my girlfriend in bed. The next day I packed all my stuff and moved out. My ex-best friend and my ex-girlfriend ended up moving to California where she cheated on him and they broke up. I used the Rug Doctor last week to clean my carpets.
