I wear size 12 and adidas randomly had a bunch of larger sizes pop up heavily discounted on their website. I actually paid $45 for the Impacts and $40 for a pair of Freeriders, mixed the two prices up.Quote:

Ordered some GRX 31/48 cranks. That with an 11/42 cassette should give me all of the 'groad' range I could ever need, I think.

Thinking about getting an e-bike for the wife. Hoping maybe it will get her into the sport but if not we can ride around town together. The thing is we are both tall. If I was to get her a nice e-bike I could probably ride it too although they are banned on the trails here.
The shop nearby has a new specialized levo comp carbon in s5 for $5500 otd. Probably slightly too big for her at 5’11”. Should I pull the trigger or get something like the tero for more town oriented riding.

I just got Boissal's old 2020 Orbea Occam! I've still got some tinkering to do with the suspension setup and the bars but I'm and friggen pumped! It's a nice upgrade from a 2014 Banshee Spitfire.
from what i have seen even in the town oriented riding one will be into it and one is not and if yer town bans mopeds on the trails no point in getting real mtn bikes so just go for a townie bikeQuote:

Ended up buying a giant explore for the wife after trying a bunch of bikes in town. I really liked the specialized tero x but she was not a fan.
E-bikes are so much fun. I was able to pull off 1k vert in about 1/4th the time on my mtb but the bike doesn’t handle single track too well. The giant seemed way smoother and quieter than other bikes we tested.

QBP has sram g2 ultimate brakes at a crazy good discount so bought some to replace my XTR's. Have always loved shimano brakes, but sick of the wandering bite point on a lot of the current shimano 4 pistons. I had some g2 ultimates on my last bike and was actually quite impressed by them.
Just upgraded to a 29er full orthodontia build.
Sweet ride but no self respecting orthodontist is gonna have all those out dated cables on their ride

NBD!!! Admittedly tried building myself but ran into too many roadblocks…so our 13 year Canadian Team mechanic made short work of putting it together.
After coming off slacker all-road geometry and now back to more race like geo…I’m only more convinced that most people including myself would be better off with a slacker head tube angle but maintain shorter stack.
50mm wheels feel awesome, however so far I’m currently missing the more tactile feedback at the shifters.
