I agree. If they all stay within the ropes, I’m all for it!
I, too have been impressed by the stoke-promoting, uphill hordes this year...but for fucksake, if you are skinning up the only open run, have your headlamp on and stay to one of the sides.....(steaux related rant)

Out the last couple of days for some quick laps.
Cat thought sledding was supposed to be fun

Steins yesterday was slushyish in the middle, dirt/leaf covered bumps to the right. Five laps and I had to chip the frozen "snow" of my lower buckles when I got home.

Skiers left was slick, today was one and done, slick chunky garbage. Should have shut down Wednesday evening.

Some sort of industrial wasteland on lower Murphs, avoid! Saw a bunch of poorly matched groomer passes today, buyer beware.

Cat and I preferred the dodge and dart action of the natural "snow" trails. Surprisingly fun to play "stay on the piles".

Not sure what this is? But it's open.

bush archeological dig has discovered remnants of an igloo, maybe the Abenaki were early eskimos?

Holiday weekend, first storm of the new year, wet & messy storm, rat flu equals a shitshow. TTT Sunday
Ton of morning skinners at the bush, from what I see no one follows the Racers>Lower to Upper Snowball route and instead are spread out wall2wall on Fling going up.
These resort tourers are their own worst enemy when asking for more access as they can't follow a simple route.
back to natural!
happy return to p'kill today.
actual snow on ground for most of ride in
mountain skiied well
interesting late day near-zero vis.
thanking lift towers for spatial reorientation

31º and calm bob w/ 3 1/2" of new dense snow, currently falling at an inch an hour. Summit cam shows zero inches at the stake, probably due to the Strong SE wind blowing the snow sideways. As a result HG and Summit are on winhold. Let the shitshow begin!:fmicon:
The radar map shows blue but its 34-35 @ 1100' and pissing rain in the Whites. Cannot see where the change over is, but it's much higher. Disappointed
Sloppy wet mess around town, windy as fuck. Haven't heard what happened a bit higher up yet.
Six inches of heavy and counting at the shop

Good to hear its snowing somewhere
Be nice if this sticks around and then we get a midweek storm. I'd like to get up there and do some midweek uphill. Not sure I want to deal with lift served and people right now. Been doing more hiking then skiing so far. Upside is ice got a few hidden lines picked out if we do get snow around here.
Base in ya Face!
As in about 5" of SNOT here in the UV. I'll take it.
Base... how low can you go?
Sleeper morning apparently?

Nice fast kick and glide in the MRV this morning. The trails in the woods were a bit thin as most of the snow was still plastered to the trees and had not yet fallen to the forest floor.
