With the restrictions in place now it should be even lighter. You need to know where to go there and you can avoid crowds.
Ya, knowing where to go would include avoiding the beast. For this one I’m gonna agree with Benny. I’m up laundering my French maid outfit and making sure that my swiffer refills as we speak....

The snow would be nice. I’m not gonna get my hopes up but I could get down with skiing forest rd 10 for Saturday and Sunday if this works out.

At least the base that is in the woods down this way up high is bulletproof so 6” could really do the trick, that’s what she said at least.

Monday looks like it will be a day of killer stash skiing if Strattons forecast pans out. They are calling a foot with rain on Saturday morning then back to snow to finish. Yum.

Still not losing faith in the winter although it hasn't been kind. Lack of crowds has made for short lifelines, even on Saturday. I also enjoy being able to avoid inane conversations with a chair to myself when out solo.

New shit has come to light overnight,

.SHORT TERM /FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY/...
As of 400 AM EST Thursday...Trends are not our friend in regard
to snow potential with the weekend storm we`ve been
highlighting. With the exception of the GFS, 00Z NWP guidance is
in remarkable agreement with the ECMWF/UKMET/NAM all falling in
line with the low track the GDPS locked in 2 days ago.

Sunday base lockup will at least allow for some fun BC scouting conditions next week #lemonade

11-12. I broke my leg on MLK Monday of that year so it was dark for many reasons for me

Microspikes are great for an icy parking lot, TRT, not so much.

Pico is a great place when there is good coverage. Lots of cool, super fun glades, but without snow to ski in them it can be a little boring after a while.
As I said I'm a weekend warrior and rarely get to ski mid-week except on my usual one trip/year out west, so it's all perspective.

I had some friends up in the bowl that day who saw the whole thing. They said they thought they had just watched someone die.

NOAA forecast is looking more promising for higher elevations around here:

    https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClic...7#.YAGSOehKjIU

9-15 inches is a big jump from yesterday's forecasted 3-6.

Having watched a couple of ski partners slide out of sight I always try to be as safe as possible [without sitting on the couch].

This storm is going to be very elevation dependent. With very marginal temperatures. I'm hoping most places pick up 4-6 inches (with more up high).

Covid uphill ski culture-change, POSITIVE post...

Suicide6 has a steady stream of uphillers all day these days due to the massive uptick in gear buyers--> and it's seriously the nicest, most considerate, thoughtful gang of newbie skinners you can imagine. People really focused on taking their time and learning the gear and protocols, little kids on day-wreckers encouraging us oldies as they race up the hill, local skickter bros being mellow and passing the stoke along to all the greenies coming out.

I keep trying to be cynical and pissy about how many uphillers there are all of a sudden, but it's just been so pleasant and cordial and cool.

Sorry I can't be more of a downer or flame troll, but the lemonade here in the UV has been pretty tasty.

Cheers all- pjs inside out, cars washed, spoons under pillow.
