I never got hassled for it either. Until I did. Before you drive anywhere, go online in the state you buy it and spring for a temp reg. Call your insurance company and get it on there right away. Takes 5 mins for the insurance. Temp reg is a little more of a hassle, but if the cop that stops you is a dick, you can end up with a driving an unregistered vehicle/uninsured car on your record, and I'm not sure, but that may end up in a requirement to get high risk insurance. And if the cop toes the vehicle for being unregistered, now you gotta get home, pay impound fee, pay ticket fee, etc...Quote:
