Skinned up around T-head yesterday (wanted to go further but having new boot issues) Coverage is decent above the base of Pony and considering how much snow fell in the storm and what existed prior to the storm above Four Points there's probably close to 2 ft. at the summit with 6-8 under the new 15-17.Quote:

8 hours at the Beav was a good way to get the touring legs in shape. Managed to get in 1 top to bottom and 8 upper-only laps before I was toast. More food and water may have helped?

Skied around west summit area on rabbit ears pass over the weekend, good powder in spots ~ 2-3' of snow. Lots of hoar on surface as of Sunday AM. Got super busy towards noon, we got an early start so we had it mostly to ourselves.
Joel going big on RMNP. Anybody been up near Hidden Valley or Banana Bowl in the last few days?
I can't imagine either would be good given both are typically windblown with rocky terrain underneath. I know the apron on DT isn't full enough yet. Ptarmigan, Lamb's, maybe other steep gashes would be your best bet in the park currently.Quote:

As of 6:30AM in Boulder.... less than 1" on the ground, no coverage at all on pavement. Gonna be back to 60s and blasting sun tomorrow. Glad I decided to hold off on mounting the snow tires for another week or 2.
