Nice try bootlicker. Why should we have to live in fear of cops who illegally detain us? Your attitude of behave and take it to the courts works so well in the justice system. Cops are fired and convicted of wrongdoing all the time, right? Of course they are sometimes but that's the exception, not the rule.

That's not what I said dumb ass. I'm saying LEOs should have better judgement and accountability. If something like what happened in that video happens the only person that should be held accountable is the cop. She can't be resisting arrest if she hasn't been arrested. I said before that she should have submitted once it got physical for her safety, but that doesn't mean she did anything wrong legally and the cop should be charged and convicted of assault. To see it any other way is to perpetuate the current situation of LEOs acting with impunity, ie. bootlicking.

The way the social dynamic works is this: police will escalate and be more defensive. So will civilians. The anger inside of those being targeted has been bottled up for generations. Some are snapping and slaughtering cops. Others are mouthing off (which isn't illegal). Police can respond with yet further escalation but it will only undermine the argument for allowing them to have arms. If the institution stops working it must be stripped down and rebuilt.

If police continue to stand behind guys like Bob Kroll & the shooter in North Miami PD, they will further alienate themselves and trigger more police executions. It's a shame pockets of LE leadership don't see this because they're endangering not only their short term safety but the long term political clout they currently enjoy.

Maybe we can revisit in a few months after more cops are taught the hard way what real danger looks like.

It's very effective at making cops look internally for solutions. I don't think they'll change at a national level without a gun to their head, personally. DOJ lawsuits are another way but that takes a lot of time during which poor bodies will pile up in the streets.

I've had plenty of positive interactions with law enforcement even when I was wrong and guilty, that doesn't mean anything. I'm male and white and have lived most of my life in rural white USA.

There is an interesting wrinkle developing in the Miami Autistic care giver shooting. Looks like there may be some lying/falsifying of accounts er, I mean, "conflicting" statements by the commander involved. Commander Hollant has been suspended with out pay. The shooting officer, Aledda, has been suspended with pay.

To early to tell if it's just window dressing but, a councilman (Galvin) seemed like a voice of reason.

"There will not be any coverups in the City of North Miami," Galvin said. By giving misinformation, he not only jeopardized the life of Mr. Kinsey and his client, but he jeopardized the life of every police officer who serves this city. I bet if the police unions were held responsible for their member's actions and the settlements came from Union funds instead of the very people they have wronged things would change very quickly.
