Visiting friends in the county, blazing colors on the Dam Road.. Still a few stray hummingbirds on the feeder. Nice time of year.
Absolutely perfect weather happening around here lately with more on tap for the next several days, gotta love it - mid 70s and bluebird errday
Colors finally started going off the last couple of days up here. Gonna be a beautiful week!
I declare today peak.
Freaking hot in the Vail Valley. Not peak, but gorgeous. Perfect mtb weather.
I'm willing to bet "peak" hangs on for another week or so... there's nothing in the forecast that's strong enough to blow the leaves off, and the temps are going to stay fairly warm for this time of year. It's going to be $$$ in different spots into next weekend, I bet.Quote:

It's been hot this weekend. Would be nice to see highs about 15 degrees cooler. Makers was right about Peak.
Here are a few quick observations from various areas:
Grand Mesa: peak and off the charts
Ridgway area: still a week out on all the county roads incl Owl Creek Pass
T-ride: peak in most spots, amazing color
Aspen/CB: peak
For some reason, the areas around Ridgway haven't really started turning much. If you can get out later this week, that'd be my call.

I'm worried. Yes they lost but both the 2011 and 2012 years they had loses. You have to look at single loses for Alabama like that splinter that you feel like you've pulled out but easily could have left a piece imbedded that will fester at a later point.Quote:

Snow on the gore this morning
Dusting? Fair amount? Was there rain in town? Was thinking of driving up and riding Two Elk tomorrow if the weather cooporated somewhat. Worth it?Quote:

Snow on the bald spot as well and even had some at the top of Golden Eagle. Riding was nice this morning.
Did the Gore get more snow last night?
^^^ no snow that I saw today. A little on the Cross but not much.
Gray, foggy and drizzle down here, just had to climb a little to find some sunshine.
