Leaves changing overnight down in CB this last weekend. I swear, a tree in our campsite was green when we went to bed, and orange when we woke up.

More rain last night and today, with more coming for tonight, also with high winds. No dusting up here yet, none that was visible through the clouds this am anyways. Upper 60s in the day, upper 30s at night. A dusting is possible for Zirkels/Medicine Bow and N. Routt tonight above 12k ft, but not down to the valley floor yet.

The trees around my house have all turned now, but I'm on the northernmost side of a mtn. at around 8K feet. Others higher up and down low on other aspects are just starting. This next weekend through the next will be the best time for these parts methinks. The top of Mt. Werner is turning already. The tree blight is really obvious this year though.

It felt good to have a chimnea fire the other night, and to have to put on a sweater. Warm nights, cool days...Sept is awesome. I get to split and stack 5 cords of wood next week, too. Aw yeah.

The girl in me is stoked for the winter wardrobe change- jeans, sweaters, cute boots, and eventually ski clothes. Ha.

Who cares who owns what, most know the Colorado dislike of TX, you silly person. Weather, warm and sunny but cooler on the western slope.

Colors in Eagle Cty are slow to turn and not as vivid as last year. Things should start really cranking in the next 7-10 days. Maybe all the rain prevents the colors from being as bright?

In an El Niño year, how does the Front Range do? Lots of heavy snowfall in the spring from upslope storms?

Bama lost last night... so the entire state is going to be blanketed in 400+ inches this winter.

Colours about peaked high up on the Western Slope, when in recent years they peaked in early October. Perhaps winter will come.

Still getting there. I'd say a week or so until peak, there's still a lot of green

Any systems on the horizon with the potential for dropping snow at higher elevations in the coming week?

Do you think next weekend will be too late for colors on Whiskey Creek? Might head up if they're primo.
