it certainly was!!! Sure, its been unseasonably warm this winter, but our springs in the Colo highcountry often means warm days punctuated by big dumps.

Sorry, but that was not a "big dump".
I didn't have a good bottomless day in two months.
Most fun I had was at Jackson.
Well, here's an indicator. Or not. Some dude is riding a lawn tractor outside my condo window and cutting the....grass. if that's what you call the brown stuff that's growing in the brown dirt with little snow patches scattered about.
This sums up how I'm feeling about winter in the Sawatch range http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15...cf9cdd074f.jpg
Left a cold, gray NYC this morning where I saw the sun for 1 day of 7, arrived back to a 75 deg. bursting with color Denver. We have good fucking lives out here, even if the ski season is wrapping up.
Hopefully Thurs/Fri may deliver something?
possibility of a dust event with this latest storm. say it ain't so!
Come on snow! Conditions are bruuuutal at the resorts.
This ski season sucked ballz. No denying it. No excuses. It sucked ballz.
Not all dust events are created equal. There's dirty snow and then there's dirty snow. Dust source, geographic distribution, manner of deposition, etc. can vary.
Last year, it was worse from Independence Pass south, but the late skiing was great in Summit, Clear Creek, Grand & points north. I remember years with dirty spring snow that skied great. I remember other years where it really was fucked up. It seems a light, even coat of dust skis all right? But I recall a heavy, "tiger-striped" version a few years ago that skied terrible, herky-jerky & slow. Also remember one year when the term "dust" was an understatement, there were thin flakes of red sandstone almost half-dime sized on the highest peaks!
Still hoping for a couple of those smooth, easy-pickin's, late season runs up high. It'll be interesting to see how it shakes out.
Odd little storm
Good to know it can still snow in CO. Solid 10-12" on my truck this morning
Legit powder up in the bowl first thing this morning. No sign of dust :)
