Oh, I HIGHLY doubt his plate was visible. I've known plenty of bikers who had license plate flippers. Some motorized, some manual. It can sometimes be incredibly easy to blast off from the cops in a big city if you have a fast bike. No Crown Vic's can hang with that, nor can the new fleets of police Explorers and Tahoes. Very familiar with all of that, but I doubt that was the case in this one as he was just cruising and then wondering wtf the cop was pulling him over for, then decided to bolt. Other than that, I do realize that probably about half of counties have rules in place not to pursue in high speed chases. In quite a few places, if you go over 100, you can expect them to turn off their lights and continue their day. It's important to know your area's SOP if you plan to do shit like that.
