I need cut a few strokes off my game, Bushboytheyoungest beat me by four yesterday when he carded a 36. I've been bested by the boys six times this year, next year will much worse. The thirteen year old who cleans kennel for me out drives me 75% of the time (sigh). I think he will shooting par or better regular like very soon.
When I played IP with Hawk, on the 9th hole I found a 5 iron right next to where my ball ended up. Problem was, my ball was in a bunker, and said 5 iron was right next to my ball, which happened to be in a completely unraked bunker, just nestled into the blokes foot print. I wasn't sure if I should throw his 5 iron in the nearby lake or turn it in.
I turned it in. Made bogey. Fucker.

Every time I get hit into and I'm not obviously letting a group play through, I either pick up their ball(s) or take my 3 iron out and make sure they see me hit it in the woods.Quote:

9th hole. 230 yards. Creek in the middle, water to right. Brush on the left. Immaculate yet moderately spoongy greens. They rolled true.

Hey, anybody still hitting a wooden driver? Now that i'm playing lots and have a real game I would love to hit something my dad played with and see how it hits. I was in NH the other day and the course had a bin of old clubs for 6 bucks each. Bam I pull out an old woody that turns out to be a George Izett. Really high end hand made club that was crafted where I grew up. Snead played with one. Too bad this one was beat to shit. The club head looked tiny!
Shot 68-77 in my club championship. Pathetic putting both days, especially day 2 with three 3 putts in a row. Leading after day 1, but finished 3rd. I'm ready for ski season.
Not still but did. Sweet spot smaller than a dime. 150 yard slices were common. The big guys on tour hit 240-260.Quote:

Got out to play 18 this weekend in KC as was in town for a FF draft. Deer Creek was the place, not a bad lay out but in some tough shape as they have alot of tourneys. Greens rolled real true though....

Played Coal Creek yesterday. Shot a 92 with 38 motherfucking putts and two lost balls. Playing Fossil Trace again Monday and heading back to Coal Creek next Friday.
77 at Poppy Ridge today in a strong wind. Solid round for me on very difficult course at 6900 yds. I'm fighting flu so my expectations were probably low which helps.

was killing the putting yesterday. iron game not so much. one par. mix of singles and doubles. no triples, which i was very stoked on. saw a cow moose and calf on the 5th tee box, which caused a slight delay. 92. felt good. hopefully play again tomorrow
Tye, how did it go? Played my 4th round of the year there, partner and I finished tied for 4th at 4 under. His shoulders were probably pretty tired, but I got inside him with wedges 3 times, and made a few putts. Tougher this year, faster greens, tees back to the blues from the whites and some good links style wind.Quote:

play there. Crazy how much earth they moved, actual uphill and downhill shots built into
the flat valley floor. Pretty holes, but a little too target oriented for my traditional tastes.
