If the course were that tough it wouldn't have to be 7500 yds to protect par for the men. At 6500 it's probably pretty easy. Although, I doubt the members would want women to score well.

seems insane to me, the course will be beat to shit after the men....like "sloppy seconds".

I disagree. It would really depend on the length of the course setup, but as far as short game goes the women are right up there with the men.

Augusta National was 6900 yds when Tiger shot -18.

Not true , the women play softer slower greens with easier pin placements .
The 100th pga pro averages 1 less putt per round than the 100th lpga pro .
If you put the ladies on augusta with the same green speeds and pin placements as the men , it would not be pretty .
It has little to do with being male or female , men simply spend more time practicing the short game .

Seriously. Even if they slow the greens down to an 8, the women will not be used to playing that kind of break. It's amazing to see how much easier the course set up is for the women. I'm not saying they aren't great in their own right, but it's not even close.

They are doing this all the time because of terribly easy pin placements. Sure, that still takes skill, but the women are not even close to challenged as much as the men. Remember when the BEST female golfer of all time went up against the men?

This...although I don't know for sure about how much these guys and gals practice the short game. I bet the real main difference is that the men really work on the "u" in their lower back with all that power lifting.

It was nice playing with you, too, Hawk. For some reason I thought I was playing with another mag that Mofo and I played with at Riverdale Dunes earlier this year, but saw you on the range swinging lefty and realized I had never met you before, hence my Gubna comment. That guy downs a few good beers per nine too. For some reason I thought you were Fritz. Anyways, always nice to meet another mag.

While Skiballs comment is reasonable (if comparing 100th ranked players is reasonable considering depth of the sport) is anyone surprised that DasBlunt and Guroo270 are dissing on the women?

Guroo was surprised to discover that Tiger Woods was not, in fact, an actual tiger. Whoever heard of a black guy playing golf?

My buddies and I did a 5th round of golf for our "majors" gambling because we picked up a 5th guy. We picked this weeks round of golf since it's being played at Bethpage Black. I got:
    A.scott - I just can't deny how well this guy's been playing
Webb Simpson - He sucked at the recent major, but has made a bit of a comeback
    Z. Johnson - his interview was pretty good. He said he can't hit all the shots his playing partners can, but hopes that his boring golf gets in the way
Charl - He's gotta win sometime
tim clark - Always in the mix
Wildcard - Padraig - In the lead, baby!

Suuuuure, I'm just ripping on the women because men are better at everything as the superior sex... You guys denying the fact that men are better than women at golf is like refuting this:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ds_in_swimming

...and to suggest that women can play as well as the men with the one exception of length means you watch golf with your eyes closed. Not only are the courses shorter for the women, the pins are easy, the greens are slower, the fairways are wider, the rough is shorter, etc., etc., etc. FACT.

I'm not saying that "The Big Break" represents the best golfers in the world of women or men by any means, but did anyone watch it? Granted, they are kind of the bottom feeders of the tour on both the men's and women's side, but tiny little Gloria was able to pull off second place and couldn't hit her driver more than 220 yards, and that was a bomb for her.

I'd be down for a last hurrah of Mags in some type of tourny format. We'd have to do it at a course that none of us would ever give a fuck about going back. I don't want to say we'd be getting kicked off but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't welcome us back.

Last week my buddy from back east flew out and we played a few rounds. Here's a few pics...

So wifey and I play a place in western Mass called Wabeeka today. The gal takes nothing like golf seriously but crushes the ball for a chick...always plays from the mens tees. We tee off from the whites on a 165 yard par 3 and she duffs one 10 yards...it lands 3 yards short of the ladies tee box. I lay one up 10 feet from the cup and think I'm taking the hole. She busts out some funky ass hybrid5 wood thingy and HOLES IT FROM 155. Christ its as close to a hole in one that I can think of!!!! Sick bitch

I should add that I'm sure some of his other tracks are much better...that damn clubhouse was amazing, it kind of took away from the course

When a guy doesn't get his tee shot past the ladies tees he is obligated to drop his pants .
If a women playing the men's tees doesn't make it past the ladies tees , does she have to show her tits ?
If so , pics or it didn't happen .

Playing a two-man scramble Sunday, the infamous Fish and Chips tourney. Keg every third hole, and BYOB is also encouraged. First golf since blasting wrist in late May. Cannot. Fucking. Wait.

Played Sumner Meadows today south of Auburn. Links style course and and a 15 mph wind equaled a lot of lost balls. My streak of low 90's (good for me) was shattered by the front nine. I am normally a good putter but today was awful. I think a five year old off a put put course could have done better. 4 putted 3 times . Oh well it was a beautiful day and got a few birdies. On a side note I left my wedge on a green and noticed on the next hole. There was a Chinese couple playing right behind us as we were backed up and I drove the cart back to them and they basically were being evasive with me when I asked them if I saw it than they pulled it out from behind their golf bags. It was very awkward. I guess they figured they scored a nice wedge.
