Yes. Trump in particular wants to save Putin. But as a matter of policy, even the Biden admin, along with the German Scholz admin, were deeply concerned about Russia breaking up and falling into chaos & civil war. There has never been a policy for Ukraine to win outright. The plan was always a negotiated settlement. The difference being Biden and Europe wanted favorable Ukrainian terms while Trump wants to favor Putin
