Whoops. Padding my stats.
Day 1 at Okemo today. Left at the crack of noon and was at the top by 1:00. One way down and it was scraped pretty bad with some irregular soft piles here and there.

Still good to get the early season leg burn going

Anyone going to ESAW? I have not attended since prior to Covid (yeah I know it’s only been online). Used to be a great way to get my head back in the game. The only speaker that draws me is Brody Leven, although certainly others could be good. Usually it was earlier in the season, but now I think I would rather burn a ticket skiing.

Um, I'm kinda excited down here for some sloppy cover when I get up tomorrow. Gore tex and kick and glide baby!!
Smuggs is claiming 10” of snow so far and the bull wheels don’t spin until Friday. [emoji38]

Nice nice
34º with a light mist falling on 2 3/4" of snowball perfect snow bob, no wind rn.
bush also claiming 10"+ 3" today which includes the scant inch from October
classic east coast over-reporting of snowfall totals; it's essential that they start padding their stats with bonus inches in the fall to really drive their end of season values. can't just drop a fake 10" bomb on people when they're actually paying attention mid-season, this is some really seasoned-pro textbook type work by the marketing teams here. throw in a little boost from early season snowmaking action and you've got yourself an above-average year. honestly not even mad, I'm impressed, nice work.
We got about 7" of glop at the Base o Magic overnight. It was raining lightly when I got up and by the time I tried to blow it off my driveway, it was full-on slush. Like the kind when you step on it, it's white but your footprint is a clearish grey. Base builder I guess.
Base building is encouraged
Loon is actually pretty good.

Great video. Tree skiing in New England with fresh powder and frozen waterfalls. It doesn't get much better.
My first day of the season was a beauty. Smuggs opened today with blue skies, little wind, and minimal crowds (except for the dozen foreign tourists on rental gear who each required a ride in the ‘boggan just to get to the base).
