Just back from Home Depot. <10% masks, everyone crowding in and around you. Families wandering around like they had never been to the Big City before. Grocery store was a bit better.
I'm sure it's that. Around these parts I doubt anyone knows a person who has had it let alone died from it. Couple that with being a red county and you get deniers and naysayers. I feel like one of the few who "believe." Talking to a friend the other day I mentioned my experience at the feed store where I was the only one with a mask among a throng of people. Very much so. Everyone knows at least someone who has had it. I can name at least 7 people I know on a first name basis who have had it including my wife's cousin and his fiance' who are battling it right now.
