Enjoy the hysteria on the right side Rontal. I expect a pic of you crushing the backyard in epic blower.
Snow is holding up fine up high, especially on N facing. Wind and a little new snow made for fine conditions on the divide yesterday, but clouds did persist for most of the day. Today looks to be sunny and warm for sure.
For perspective…check out the Magic thread and the overload of stoke for a 200 acre hill with 28” of snow on the season. Things aren’t so bad in CO

Unfortunately the glacier that has formed in my backyard doesn't seem to be affected very much. Dogs seem to be enjoying it though.
Official high at the summit of Vail Mtn was 52. An all time record for Jan. Valley was slightly inverted and hit 48. Taylor Park near CB hit 59!

There's usually a nasty inversion in the taylor park area which keeps is pretty chilly. At 10:30am in gunny there's still single digits and probably won't warm up too much today. Yesterday was pretty ridiculous. Apparently there were people eating "al fresco" on the mall in downtown Aspen... nice little casual business lunch on the indoor/outdoor patio in January like it's Scottsdale or some shit.
So it looks like Gratz and the CPC are both seeing the ridge over the west coast settling back in for a while. I hope they're wrong, ski season is going to start going downhill if we don't start getting more snow and the trails I want to ride are still way too icy and muddy. Time to engage warp drive on the USS Butthurt Express.
Next Tuesday-Wednesday could be good. Not surprising, its the start of a hut trip for me. HARBAUGH EFFECT.
