Damn, too bad the frozen family is out. I was talking to the Mrs last night about heading out to meet you guys. Bring Riley along and do some hiking through Arches, Fiery Furnace or maybe Goblin Valley....I'm sure I could convince her if you guys were there. :D
Just got back from Moab and I braught a new friend Mr. Blister back with half a left foot.
Sorry I had to bail early but the twenty sum miles I did in Canyonlands took it out of me. Hope you have good weather, It looked like rain tonight.
I went to Moab and didn't even bring my bike! Oh, and I saw the AG on their way just north of I-70.

Weather was perfect last night. Today is looking overcast but temps are nice...

AG, are you posting from the campsite?
No signal out there, but I am offocoally a nerd. This morning I was posting from Slickrock cafe (yum omelettes) and now we're @ city market getting some lunch. I busted a spoke this morning on Sovreign which should be fixed in anothrt 30 min or so. Then we're riding Slickrock or Amasa Back. Weather has been sweet so far. :DQuote:

EDIT, the voice of reason told me that taking a 7-week old on a camping trip might not be such a good idea, especially as it looks to be stormy. We are now officially out. :(

Pitch black outside, BobMc is spinning a u-turn on the quad to follow Frozen and suddenly there's a loud noise and the headlights that were horizontal are suddenly lined up vertically. Someone shines a flashlight and there you are - hands still on the bars, still sitting on the seat... just laying there totally sideways, asking for a push. And then managed to stay seated while we flipped you upright, like you were velcroed to the damn thing. :D Too funny.Quote:

Great trip everyone, we had a blast and can't wait to do it again.
I will now return to looking for big squish bikes like I normally do when returning from Moab.
As always, great meeting up and riding with a bunch of the Utardians. Even though the rain and wind prevented more riding and climbing, good times were had. And was sweet to meet some new mags and ride with a ripping crew.
Only downside was missing Crink and his crew since they decided to ride the road (really, who in their right mind actually chooses to do that? :D ) Four and a half days is too short, next year I'm going for a week.
yeah that was too short. I need to do at least 4 days out there, doing only 2 rides stinks. Great seeing a bunch of folks again in a great place like Moab. Now that i know the super sneaky secret campsite ;)
we were out there driving around for 20 minutes in the dark and couldn't find bobmc and frozen, only saw them when they came flying up on 4 wheelers on our way out. :(
and Cs there is more to riding than going down, next time if you pass us with the shuttle at least beep the horn so we know :D
Yep. There's also beautiful rolling singletrack and some good little singletrack climbs that we shuttled to that are a lot more fun than riding up the gravel road. ;)Quote:

well it was more fun than driving down to town, paying $12 and driving past our campsite on the way back to the trailhead. Radios might have been a good idea for that one. We probably should have had my wife shuttle us out in the truck, but the other 2 wanted to pedal and warm up, about half way out Jeff on his 40lb hardtail, changed his mind. I won't miss next time.
Super fun trip....great time riding LPS with the mags, it's been too long. I have since decided however, that I'm getting my drivetrain on my Kona fixed and selling that thing ASAP. Time for a stinky or ASX I think.
