    Spring moab trip

CS and I were discussing this last night. Yes, I realize it's still ski season, but due to work schedules it requires some really, really advance notice. Right now it's looking like the first weekend in May. Leaving Wednesday night the 4th, probably coming home Sunday.

    Who's in?

    flykdog
    particle
    The AG's
    Powho
    Phunk
    GT40
    A/C
Frizzo (who hasn't been calling me back lately, so his name got left off the list, bastard)

I hate the whole names thing, I'm sure I'm missing people.
CS was telling me some of the tahoe crew is in? LPH, Arty, Nater?

I'll have to check the racing schedule, but probably!

I just picked up my two shiny new knee braces today. (the old left one needed refitting)

altachic had best be there since she ditched us last year for some dude

    Edit:

And any SoCalers want to head out caravan style? Also, I'm bringing the climbing gear and at least one day will be spent either at Potash or better yet the Creek. Anybody want to get their crack on? I'll lead 'em.

Ahhh Cinqo de Mayo in Moab...I always try to plan my spring trip for that weekend I'll do my best to be there. Probably will do an earlier trip to Moab or Fruita as well...

These warm temps certainly bring thoughts of biking to mind. Tried to ride Glenwild in Park City today at lunch in the snow but it was too slushy so just spun a couple laps on the road. Felt good to get out and spin a bit, but I miss the pow too!

    Ask me again in April.

That reminds me, I have a date with the diving board. Must...remember...to...bunny hop...

Arty, forget the diving board. That thing sucks. I've seen more broken BB's, swingarms, and ankles there than anywhere else on a bike. It's the flattest (even slightly uphill) landing ever. Sucks. There are far better hucks out there (CS' Amassa back huck, etc.)

And I'll stand at the bottom and take pics.
I want a 6" travel 20lb MTB. I found the 20lb MTB, but only good for riders under 87 pounds.

That's a ways out yet, but I should be in. Probably bring a few non-Maggots with me as well.

I'm on the phone with a friend from Austin who's right now booking a flight for may7-10th so we're in for something that weekend, but not really MTB'ing - hiking, paddling more probable. Possibly could get on bikes for a little bit though.

    But...but...but...

...uphill landings are soooo much fun!

...and crashing in front of a group of people is priceless.

    Meh.

No way I can get away the weekend before. I guess you and Xover will just have to come out to Yosemite when Tioga opens and I can drag your sorry asses up some classics, not to mention the ass kicking skiing to be had as well.

And Arty, I've got a couple lines I'll point you off. You can trust me.

Ok, I think I may be able to make this one...depending on when DTM and I plan our spring trip.

Edit: I should just tell him to borrow a bike and this should be our spring getaway/trip/vacation/what have you.
