I’ve been one to actually think that CV19 , might have been here since January...daughter had textbook symptoms. I’m contending that if it actually was here in January that we would have already seen the overrun in places like NYC, that we are seeing now...

To put simply, I’m questioning the idea that CV19 was here in Jan.

IMO, it’s the density, the stress people are under there, the air quality and the subways/busses/elevators/tight grocery stores. Mainly the density. It’s a dirty fucking city with people on top of one another. I rode the subways and lived there for 6 years and I’m not a germaphobe but I was disgusted! Subway rides to and from home were awful during rush hour. Sometimes I’d be pressed so tight against the mass of people in the subway cars, I thought I was going to have a panic attack. There were weeks on end when this could have been passed around just on the subways themselves. Not to mention tight elevators, tight stores and restaurants with no room between tables.

I think covid somehow hopped from an animal to a human in china and was brought by people traveling in an airplane, there was just a great carrier or carriers

Yeah, I knew about all of them and what they did, but wouldn't recognize them on the street. Not that they are walking the streets these days.

As an aside, my knee surgeon remembers times around the kitchen table with his dad, Salk and Sabin, talked polio. His dad stayed in Kansas (I think) to treat the masses while the other two wised up and got out of Dodge. The rest, as they say, was history.

I've mentioned this before, but there's a great book about the development of inoculation called "The Speckled Monster", a really fantasic read about the medical pioneers who figured out how to stop smallpox.

Both Lady Mary Wortley Montagu and Dr. Zabdiel Boylston developed inoculation independently, Boylston, an untrained "country doctor", man of the people and Lady Montagu, an educated member of Bristish Royal society.

Each were subject to much harassment and disrespect and each took the greatest risk any person could ever take in testing out their cures.

I think Boylston was the real pioneer and Jenner picked up after him.

Good, good to question it. Because it is not true that it has been here [there] (i.e., Charlotte) since January. If it had been, a significant portion of the population would have been dead by now.
