I don't think it can be underestimated how much of an impact the regular disclosing of intelligence leading up to the invasion had. If the narrative had been set by a successfully executed false flag operation, you would have half of the US supporting the invasion. The Germans would have had cover to continue down the path of dependence on Russia, etc... I think we would be seeing a very different dynamic play out if the dominant narrative had been successfully defined by Russia. And they were trying to do it, but we preempted them each step of the way by disclosing our intelligence.
