I drove out to pickets junction after riding Heav for a while. It's dire. Maybe pass opens tomorrow. They have one bore through the spur.
pass is open just now as per Cal Trans 4matic.
Spur is the question for me.. Will it pop tonight?

Might be a lie. The 1:52 update still said closed. Or maybe it opened and they updated later.
2 miles east sounds like the caltrans depot. Could be avies on that corner between Caples Lake and the Inn, where everyone likes to skid on the ice. /insert link to pileup in last year's thread
